Please do, then they will have contact info...... -
My brother in law owns a service station, It was broken into and all of the rolling tool chests disappeared one night. The one that did not disappear had the wheels taken off and it was sitting on wood blocks. That one could not be rolled up a ramp into a waiting truck. Once all the mechanics got their new boxes they all took the wheels off.

Go right to the source, call the BATF and explain your situation and ask what you need to do. Or call the silencer manufacturer, Their sales depend on being able to steer you in the right direction. The rest of us are just guessing and trying to apply logic to a government agency. -
Just taking a quick look. https://ussolid.com/u-s-solid-motorized-ball-valve-1-4-stainless-steel-electrical-ball-valve-with-full-port-9-24-v-ac-dc-2-wire-auto-return.html https://ussolid.com/u-s-solid-1-4-brass-electric-solenoid-valve-12v-dc-normally-closed-viton-air-water-oil-fuel.html The solenoid valve is not for continuous duty, BUT the duty cycle is 8 hours, Not many can go 8 hours on a bike without having to either fill up or empty out. Both of these will close with the power off and open when the power comes on. The motorized one is a bit slow at 3-5 seconds, that may be to slow for the fuel pump to fill the carbs. There are many other brands and styles to choose from, this was just the first that popped up in my search. Prices are also reasonable.

I wonder if it would be worth it to add a solenoid valve in the gas line. That way it is only open if the ignition is on. Automatic protection.

How about just put it in Tipps name? -
I have heard of a couple that have blown. I every case it was tracked down to a hydro lock. not necessarily at the time it blew but you may have recently had a hard start where the starter had a hard time turning it over, this could have started the damage and then while cruising finished it off.

Go down to your local LEO station and talk to them about getting your prints for the form. Take a copy of the form with you in case they do not have one. They will know if they can get the prints from your hand to the form. Ya know if ya stopped hiding from the chat room we could discuss this properly........ -
It was not an easy task to have SNOW on the ground in all 50 states at the same time. Also managed to have 72% of the continental USA covered in SNOW all at one time. And don't think I am done......

My main winter goal has been to learn to walk again. I am pretty close now, No longer wearing the air cast or using the crutches. Around the house I can sort of walk without assistance but when heading out I still need a cane. Still hoping that I will be walking pretty good by the end of winter. I guess it is not real exciting but it is a STEP in the right direction.

I would love to make it there again, It would be in a cage but that is better than nothing. It will all come down to medical issues again.

Downside to buying older bike with low miles?
Flyinfool replied to videoarizona's topic in Watering Hole
As mentioned, all rubber is suspect not just the tires. There is a big difference between low miles, recently ridden, and not started for many years. Use @cowpuc ideas if it has been sitting unstarted for a long time. If it has been ridden recently then just the normal checking changing of all fluids, especially brake and clutch. On a low mile bike if the owner says carbs just rebuilt, that is a red flag to say it sat unrun for a long time and the carbs gunked up due to improper storage. when they say just rebuilt they may be talking mileage, if it was last year then it is very possible they are gunked up again. Also if the carbs were gunked it may have been started after a long nap without lubing things first. This type of damage will not show up for a couple thou miles.- 10 replies

last week 73% of the continental USA was covered with SNOW, A new record. So at least you can say it was the worst ever.
-
What you implying over there?????

It is not quite over yet. We will be back down to SUB zero F again tonight. And this morning woke up to this 1-4 inches of snow. Here is a full size Pickup going down the street in front of my house. This was AFTER the plow came thru.

From what I have read, a lot of the Chinese cameras that claim to be 4K really are not.

There is stuff made for what you are doing. A length of exhaust hose. I hole in the door or wall to just fit the hose A door to cover the hole when not needed. That is how every auto and bike shop does it. They have everything you need here. https://www.crushproof-hose.com/

From the video it looks like it might be possible to make those, in a home shop if you have a lathe and/or milling machine. Yes a machine hop could do it but for a one off set it would be expensive. Be easiest to do on CNC machines but still possible manual machining. You would have to get the specific dimensions needed to fit your bike.

Under Glow Kit Issue
Flyinfool replied to SKRAW_STAR443's topic in Star Venture and Eluder Tech Talk ( '18 - Present)
Can you post a pic of the wiring diagram so we can tell what it is supposed to be? It sure sounds like the brake wire you picked is not the correct one. On the 1st gen (MK1 and MK2) and 2nd gen Ventures the blue wire is the tail lights and the brake wire is yellow. I have not seen a wire diagram for the 3rd gen. If you are connecting the brake wire to the tail light circuit you would get what you describe. -
WOW, It really sounds like you had a fun time..........not. Just keep on healin and followin the Drs orders. Sometimes they actually have a clue even if it don't seem like it at the time.

Do you have anny kind of pics of what you want, does not sound hard to make. ps I read the same thing @circa1968 did..... I guess dirty old men think alike...
