  1. Well step one has been a success. They were able to put all of my inerds back in where they belong with no further complications. The incision site is still a little tender but I guess that is expected for a while yet. Now for the other problem. I went to the cardiologist again today and the drugs so far are working as hoped, things are at least stabilized. Tonight I start on the drugs that might actually try to kick start the deadbeat half of the heart. I will find out when I go back in another 2 weeks.
  2. On my 1st gen I have the KC HiLiTES, 35 series 775 3x5 Black 55w Wide Beam Driving Light System. These are focused in between a driving light and a fog light, The lens is even angled out a bit to help side illumination. I got them because they do an excellent job of lighting up the sides of the road to see the deer coming while they are still in the woods. One of my plans for the winter is to convert these to 35W HID.
  3. I must admit that I never saw a pink venture.......
  4. A 1 volt drop between the RR and battery is a bad connection. As I said earlier, we are chasing multiple issues here. Find and fix the easy and cheap stuff first. With the bike running and everything on that is normally on; Check voltage from the battery neg to the black pin at the RR. Check voltage from the battery pos to the red pin at the RR. Use the lowest voltage scale on your meter, they should both be very close to zero volts. This will tell you winch wire has the bad connection. You can use your meter to check eack length of wire to home in on the bad one.
  5. To late, I already went for ice cream and ate it all up. Remember I was bored tooooo...... There is nothing like going to Leons for ice cream and sitting outside in 10 deg F eating it. And I was not the only one there. Their ice cream is so good you will see people there even at -30 deg F.
  6. Don't be jealous, tools and toys I have, that just takes some luck being in the right place at the right time. Skills, not so much. But I am having a blast trying to learn some skills.
  7. Now if you were just closer, When i do mine this winter I plan to swap around as many as I can to get it rite. For the ones that are left, If they only need to come down a couple of thou then I will head to the correct corner of the basement and fire up the surface grinder to get them perfect.
  8. Another option to change color without a permanent change is the Plasti Dip type paint. It sprays on easy and if you decide later you don't like the color just peel it off.
  9. It is not unheard of for a bad RR to take out a stator. It does sound like you have a bad stator, BUT it also sounds like you have another issue going on at the same time. As mentioned, one weak winding in the stator will give a reduced output of the RR. You seem to have NO output of the RR. Do the running tests with everything possible turned off on the bike. Don't forget to check the main fuse......
  10. That is what it really is all about. Friends and family getting together for good times. My hunt involved 14 days of sitting in the woods dawn till dusk. The actual time from when I first laid eyes on my buck till he was deceased was about 5 seconds. First second you catch movement out of the corner of your eye. Second second you determine that it is a deer. Third second you determine that it is a legal buck. 2 seconds later he is laying on the ground right where he stood. But the biggest part is the time spent with friends and family.
  11. There are several unique/ interesting things about this number. It is the only number equal to 8549176320. It contains all digits from 0 thru 9 and only uses each one once. None of the digits are in numerical order. Going by the spelled names of each digit they are in alphabetical order. If you add all of the digits together they equal 45. If you take 8549176320 and multiply by 9 then add all of the digits of that number together, then add all of the digits of the new number together it will equal 9. If you factor it out it is equal to 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 5 x 61843. OK I was bored toooo.......
  12. This website is good to find out anything about your bike. All of the manuals and lots of other technical info is here. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?91-Guides-Parts-Diagrams-Etc
  13. I think someone needs some snow for a white Christmas.......
  14. If you have room the left fairing is better than the top of the airbox. The TCI is not something that needs to be accessed very often if ever. If you are going to go thru the effort to remove the TCI you should replace the 8 diodes that are known to fail. once any one of the 8 diodes fail the TCI is junk, they give no warning. I was able to get one screw out and had to cut the other ear off to get My TCI out.
  15. I'M BAAACCK.......... Some one is in deep doo doo. Some wise guy shut off or disconnected ALL of the safeties. The gyro stabilizers are now off line. The nozzles are spinning out of control. The only stop that appears salvageable at the moment is the east locator. The machine has reached a state of self sustaining. It may take me 6 or 7 months to bring the reactor back under control. Who knows what will all happen in the mean time. Fortunately, I do have all of this on surveillance video, so as things get far worse we know where to send those that are disappointed..... Yes thee are a few less deer in the U P. I will be processing for a while.
  16. glad everyone is fine. Undies can usually be washed. $770 at a body shop is not much more than a paint scratch.
  17. Pucster needs to send Annie a snow angle.
  18. Hey old pucster. I just saw this from my deer stand while buried in snow up here in the UP. More prayers sent.
  19. Hmmmmmmm....... Maybe a little Freudian slip there........ I would have been happy with everyone just editing there info so that their state is printed next to the city. But having the flags back is SWEET. Thanks
  20. That green wash cloth was made out of woven poison ivy...... OH OH PLEASE say you did not disconnect the 3 phase power!!!!!! The 3 phase power was for the inertial dampers. With out the inertial dampers to control things, the machine will run at full power and may reach thermal runaway. If it reaches thermal runaway there is no easy way to slow it down enough to get it back under control. You now have it running at max output. It has never been tested at max output. There is no telling just how much it is capable of doing. I sure hope that when I get home in December that I can get the inertial dampers back up and running. OH NO, I just reread your post, you said that you reversed the phasing of the 3 phase input......... That means that instead of dampening the output it will be amplifying the output. You now have the machine running at way over max capacity. It is almost guaranteed to reach thermal runaway now. You may have just started the next ice age. There will be mass extinctions. Dogs and cats living together. Real end of the world stuff. You said you tried to apply logic, but your logic failed to consider that I am a heartless old coot with a warped mind. This whole process involves a lot of fuzzy logic. OH PUC WHAT HAVE YOU DONE????? There may be so much snow will be dumped on me up der in da UP eh, that I may never make it home to be able to fix what you have done. OH and that pizza you ate, that was a science experiment in the back of the fridge, You may want to run over to your doc real quick like....... That was not cheese on there it was something that was alive and growing and reproducing.
  21. I'll bet you an ice cream on that one that you have no feelings..... especially after Big Tom gets a hold of you.....
  22. Is that a challenge or a dare?
  23. I have been trying for a while to figure out which one of them is the culprit. I guess that the Snowper charger then remains under MY control.
