  1. This is painful, sitting here rooting for the lions.........
  2. Biting fingers...... Biting fingers...... Biting fingers...... Biting fingers...... Biting fingers...... Biting fingers...... Ran out of finger........ AND THEY VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. What bulbs did you get? Where they cheepos? I have not heard of this issue before. I would start by testing the bulb socket with a volt meter to see if the polarity is actually reversed, I'm betting its not. I would the n make up some jumper wires and test the bulb direct to the battery to verify the bulb function and polarity. If the bulb is reversed polarity I would contact the place you got them from to see if the can be exchanged for good bulbs. Trying to rewire the bike to make reversed bulbs work will open a whole new can of worms, it is not going to be as simple as switching a couple of wires.
  4. This aint really the place for an aircraft debate, I would love to discuss airplanes with you in person some time, maybe at Dons MD. I bet we end up almost agreeing. I totally do not understand your correlation of yoke position, CG, and death trap. Most (not all) aircraft, certified or non certified, have the yoke/stick well in front of the CG.
  5. Dingys getting a new milling machine............. It was close but the TES nearly got to my ICC wen I saw such a deal on a new TIG welder last month. A Miller Dynasty 180 for only $800, with extra consumables. I fear that there may be signs of Mature Stage creeping in since I was able to be reasoned out of it by a stack of medical bills. Once one hits the Mature Stage all that is left is the end.
  6. I got my info from the FAA regs (FAR) Part 103.1, look it up in your FAR/AIM book. The CGS Hawk Ultra does meet the specs for ultralight that I mentioned, the rest of the CGS Hawk line does not meet the legal definition of an ultralight and are not legal ultralights. The Quad City Challenger also has one specific version that is FAR 103 legal and meets the requirements that I mentioned. There are many aircraft advertized and sold as ultralights that do not meet the FAA definition of an ultralight. Both of these are single seat and under 254 lbs, Neither of these are even close to the Aeromobile.
  7. Not by USA standards. AN ultralight must be; single occupant. Stall speed under 25 MPH. top speed under 60 mph. weight under 254 lbs. max fuel capacity 5 gallons. They do not give a weight in the specs, this might qualify under the lite sport aircraft rules, which are a lot different than an ultralight. Either way I have my pilots license. Even though there is no way I can afford one, I want one.
  8. Some are just more equal than others.
  9. Yup, I want one.
  10. Lucky you. Tucson has had more snow this year than WISCONSIN. All we have had in Wisconsin is bright sunshine and warm weather. We have had to keep our ice in the freezer up here.
  11. That brings up the questions How old gets pruned? If there is an old post in the watering hole that should be saved, how do we move it to a tech folder to avoid the pruner? Hey! arent you supposed to be out playing instead of messing around here?
  12. Its here.......... well 16 min ago.... I really could use a good snow storm to perk up my spirits.......
  13. Not yet but gettin there.
  14. Happy New Year everyone.
  15. Since I am not borderline diabetic and was given no dietary constraints for my heart, I'll be the martyr and eat all of your deserts and ice cream for you. Of course I will be sure to tell you how good it is/was. Its the least I can do to help you out.
  16. I only wish I could get out and do stuff like that.
  17. I have had packages shipped from China to Wisconsin. The package made it from China to our loading dock faster than it made if from the loading dock to my desk.
  18. Hayward is a nice area any time of year.
  19. Clive You can order the parts from Skydoc_17. He has a kit with new o-ring and a stainless socket head cap screw that is much easier to work with than the stock Phillips head screw. Well it has been 4 years since I posted that and the new o-ring and polishing the bore is still holding.
  20. Congrats, Let the spoiling begin........
  21. Carry one of those rubber dental picks to get the smart cars out of your spokes.
  22. At least my math is better than yours. Its only 27.4 years old....... But we all have old discontinued bikes.......
  23. Congratulations. I am now officially adding you to my list of those I am jealous off.......
  24. A couple of things. 1. Your oil is still overfilled. It should never be more than half way up the sight glass with the bike level. 2. When I tried Amsoil, My bike leaked everywhere, went back to dino and the leaks stopped, some people have had this experience some do not. 3. I'm not sure on the 2nd gens, but on the first gen if the oil is over filled the engine will send oil into the aircleaner where it can get pulled into the engine this might be your smoke.
  25. LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW!!! And what one of those crazy Canuks left the back door open again..........Brrrrr Geeeezzzz I try to be nice to ol Puc and what do I get.........
