  4. Well so all that you leaving the door open has don is to get us yankees all upset and shiverin. Orlin and Puc, I think we just found the guilty party that's been leaving the door open....... ..........its that @saddlebum character..... If Saddlebum would have kept the door closed we would be in the 40s and 50s by now with no chance to make snow.
  5. I would love to tell you which one of the Canadians is the one that keeps leaving the door open, but I have not figured out just whom is to blame yet. I think we have it narrowed down to someone in Alberta, The weatherman keeps calling these cold shots Alberta clippers. As for that half naked guy selling the Snowletts, I have had to wash my eyes and brain with sulfuric acid trying to get that image to go away.:scared:No luck so far. But I do like the idea of ol Puc putting his ill gotten gains into an ICE CREAM fund. Global warming my . We are breaking cold records left and right.
  6. 3 Weeks huh? My calendar says 4 weeks.
  7. The stupid robins that have already showed up here are likely to break their peckers if the try sticking them in the ground around here.....
  8. Hope you get it figured out. I play the musical internet game here. When the cable rate goes up, I pack up all of my equipment and cancel and go to ATT and sit on the introductory rate as long as possible, then when the ATT rate goes up I go back to cable for a year of their introductory rate. Yes it is a PITA once a year. But I end up paying about a third of what a good customer pays. Sometimes when you show up in their office with the box of equipment to cancel (calling does not work) they will renew your intro rate for another year just to keep you. If you went through the trouble of disconnecting everything to bring it into the office they figure you are serious. I know a lot of people that have just gone back to a TV antenna to get the free over the air TV. So once a year I bounce back and forth between cable TV/internet and satellite TV/DSL internet. The market for TV/internet is so mature.
  9. And how did that work out for you?
  10. I saw my first Robin of the season yesterday. He was sitting in a tree with the temp at -6F and I could just hear the WTF......
  11. There goes another perfectly good pair of shoes.......
  12. NOPE, I ain't gonna fall for it, I ain't gonna go back to look....... NOPE!!!! Just gonna bury it in snow so till it is all gone........
  13. It almost sounds like an exhaust leak. The sound seems to go away with rpm, drive faster........

    Why?

WHY can those Canadians not keep the back door closed to keep all this cold air up there?

  16. I guess we will just have to bury that in snow so that the next time Puc gets his picture took it is just a wall of white.......
  17. Yup the ferry that runs out of Milwaukee would be 88 per person 44 per bike 25 per bike trailer 6 security check? 163 total one way But Manitowoc is 100 miles north of me and Ludington is farther from Dons house than my house is. Now if anyone want to meet up with me on the other side of HELL (chicago) early Friday morning ................. Or maybe I can meet up with Eagle and Puc and some of the other MI group somewhere around Toledo..........
  18. Even with Pucs endless love of SNOW, He could even make watching a blizzard mesmerizing.
  19. It all depends on just how bad is bad. Try a hard stop, if the front bottoms out real easy then you should do the springs right away, if it does not bottom out easy then it is safe to wait. Right now the springs on my 88 will only bottom out with a near the edge of traction stop, while hitting a bump in the road. They will be replaced just for the better ride. Most people either remove or disable the anti dives with the progressive springs. The CLASS will still work with the progressives, but for most people it is not needed in the front. Most run the front at 0 PSI with progressives.

  21. Since most of them are based on meteorologists, and we all know meteorologists all are not real good at what they do....... The best ones are Stickyourheadoutthewindowandlookup.con or Goforarideandseewhathappens.con
  22. I guess that will vary by locality. In Wisconsin you do have to pay the tax at the store because the GVW of the trailer is under 3,000 lbs so no registration or plates required. If you take that state paperwork back to the HF store and talk nice, you can probably get the tax refunded to you.

  24. I have been happy with WeatherBug.
  25. Having put in the heavier starter cables does help the hot starting. If you should happen to get into the area of the starter, putting in the ground mods helps hot cranking a lot too, or replacing the starter with a 4 brush starter is the best option. The AGM batteries in the stock size all are an improvement in hot cranking. I don't know if brand really matters much. There are many of the flodded batteries that also do not have the hole for the probe and need the resistor mod.
