  1. Oh great, now I have to pack Tazer repellent.
  2. Very well said Earl. See ya in a couple weeks.
  3. MMmmmmmm...... Pizza with an ice cream chaser. My heart job is just before MD, I am still planning to make it but will definitely be in the truck. MIGHT even be able to drag Erika along. I also do not know about crawling around on the ground pulling out stuck bolts......... I'll just be a supervisor this time. Its a dirty job but someones got to do it.
  4. Silly question, but, did you ever consider triking someone from the stable? There are 1st and 2nd gen trike kits out there.
  5. If you only ran the old gas down to 1 bar there was close to 2 gallons in the tank that you mixed with fresh gas. So you still have questionable gas. On most of these when the last bar goes out you have 1 gallon left in the tank. The first tank went 100k with one bar left, now you have better gas and are at 129k with 2 bars left, that is definite progress, When you put in the fresh gas, how much did it take? Strap on a gas can and head out, ride until it is empty to get the last of the old gas out. Then fill it up with some Seafoam in the fresh gas to help with what is left of the old gas. Every spring My bike is not right till I start the 4th full tank of gas. See, now you have to go for another long ride.........
  6. Interesting tool. IF your valve clearance is bad enough to show up on that tool then you should not be running that engine at all. That tool can show a valve that is not sealing. As long as your lash is less than zero the valve will still close completely and should seal. That tool does not tell you what the valve clearance is. Only that a valve is not sealing or there is a vacuum leak in the manifold. So if the tool is saying that one valve is not closing, You may have a much bigger problem than needing the valves adjusted. Here is the manual that says what the tool can do. http://www.tecmate.com.au/pdf/vaccummate_TMNA_VMR6_eng.pdf
  7. I've never seen or even heard of a sync tool that could tell the valve lash. Nor can I even fathom how you could tell valve lash from doing a sync. Me thinks you need a new tech that will not be pulling your worble. 45,000 miles or kilometers? Recommended time to check is 36K miles. 45K miles ya you are due for a valve check. 45K kilometers, is just under 28K miles you are good for a while yet. My bike is just getting its first valve check at 60K miles, there are just a few that are out of spec. I hope to finish it this weekend.
  8. NNNOOOOooooooo........ I ain't old enough or slowed down enough for a 2nd gen to catch up to me yet. Not even close. @cowpuc I can see HD jumping on that idea in a heartbeat....... But my fingers are crossed that I will not wake up with one of those pacer thingies stuck in me. That was a possibility the doc mentioned.
  9. Andrew When I leave Cudahy at 0300 taking I 294 thru Chicago, I just make the Indiana state line at 0600. I always do a gas n snack stop at the Lincoln Oasis just before I294 hits I94. I do not trust that I can stretch my gas to the first stop in Indiana.
  10. Go to the top right of the screen. Click on settings Go to left side of screen, scroll down to "Paid Subscriptions" Enter your info. Then you will be stuck in the loony bin with the rest of us for another year........
  11. He may be out, but he did not drop his beer.
  12. You should have invited @Yammer Dan to help, he is known to have a way with tents...... Looks like fun.
  13. Don't forget the hour lost due to the time change.
  14. Snapper has to eat too.
  15. Sailor; I already played that game with the shocks (Cardiac Reversion). Yes they were able to shock my heart to get it to stop. And they did get it to restart in normal rhythm. 2 weeks later I was back in a-fib. That is why I am now at the next step with the ablation. I am really hoping that this one will work. Yea with A-fib the blood thinners are critical. The day before my A-fib was discovered there was 3 of us carried about 500 lbs of hunting gear about a mile back into the woods. It took 3 or 4 trips. That is 8 miles of hiking thru the woods, 4 of which carrying heavy gear, and the time and effort and tree climbing to set it all up. At the end of the day I was the only one that did not look like death warmed over, I never had any symptoms or sensations whatsoever of the A-fib.
  16. Rub your finger in it and smell it.
  17. It could even be condensation coming from the ground.
  18. That will be close. You may have to go direct to QS&L, and set up camp on a full tummy. But I bet we can find lots of supervisors, and maybe even some help.
  19. Everyone says that that 6 hours of laying still on my back is the worst part. I do not know if I have done 6 hours on my back in my lifetime. I generally deal with stress through my own warped sense of humor. It may be bad for the nurses..... I am not typically mean, but if I am on some good drugs, there is no telling what strange thoughts may take a stroll out through my mouth. I have not spent a night in the hospital since the the first week when I was hatched, LONG, LONG, long ago. Yes this whole thing has me worried.
  20. Now if you would take that tracking system and put it onto a real quad copter instead of a toy, then it would have a top speed near 100 mph. That could be interesting going thru some twisties.
  21. You call 7:00 early? I should be well past Chicago he!! and Gary Indiana by then. I am planning to leave between 3-4 AM. to be real sure there is room for my tent at Dons, and even more important, I get a good spot at the QSL feed trough.
  22. Well it looks like plan A I am scheduled for the Cardiac Ablation on June 17. starting at 9am, expected to last till 6-8 pm. I will be spending the night in the hospital and escaping the next day.
  23. To bad it has a top speed of only 25 mph. Could make cool vids of a ride.
  24. I know @rbig1 is coming from Iowa and was looking for someone to hook up with. I am coming from Wisconsin but will be in a big red truck. @eagleeye is coming from Wisconsin but he is taking the ferry across the lake and hooking up with @cowpuc. Thats all I know of.
