  1. I just got all of my paper work with the instructions of what all to do leading up to the ablation. that whole week will be busy, and complicated.
  2. Thats why I suggested friction tape, its sticky on both sides.
  3. I suppose that for those that like a bigger hole I could bring my 50 cal drill. IF I should run out of plates, You or anyone else, can always stop at my house to get a few more.
  4. Feel free to drill all of the holes you would like. Polished stainless is free, holes are expensive.......
  5. Clean the filter real good and then give a couple wraps of friction tape and try the filter wrench. Get a big Channel Lock pliers. Getting down the the big screwdriver.......
  6. AMAZING, SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES: According to SNOPIES, THESE REALLY WORK!! 1. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP. 2. TO AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT, USE THE SINK. 3. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. (REMEMBER TO USE A TIMER.) 4. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON. 5. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH. 6. YOU NEED ONLY TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE. 7. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. SOME ADDITIONAL ADVICE: NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, TAKE A LAXATIVE AND SLEEPING PILLS ON THE SAME NIGHT. Now, you're on your own!
  7. OH NOOOoooo.... Not the dreaded Pond Monster.......
  8. Once again at MD I will have a supply of free plates to put under your side stand when parked on a soft surface. There may be a few bikes parked on the grass at MD. The plates are polished Stainless Steel about 4.125" diameter x 5" long, with 2 tabs . All you have to do is to find me and introduce yourself and ask for one. I have about 30 to give away to those that need or want one.
  9. Yup that is a plan. But boy is your grass gonna need cutting when you get back home.........
  10. Kat I'll have an extra rum ball for you on your BD. I will bring my carbtune, and my electrical kit. Since I will be in the truck, if there is any tool or other gizmo anyone might want or need me to bring just let me know. If I can I will. No I will not bring the lathe or the milling machines.......
  11. Using glass cloth with ABS cement works great to repair cracks from the inside. Because the ABS cement has a solvent that actually melts into the original plastic the glass cloth becomes part of the bag, not just glued to it. For the missing pieces, I would get hold of a chunk of sheet ABS (hardware store or hobby shop) and cut and shape a piece to fill the hole and attach it with ABS cement and glass cloth. This is how I did all of the repairs on my bike.
  12. If 10 snores = 1 ring, I don't think you have the arm strength to keep up....... Saturday night can sound like a chainsaw convention.......
  13. Woo Hooo I'm in, I can pose for a VRO swimsuit calendar........
  14. WOW I wish I were closer, I'd be on my way already. Get out of Cowpucs way...... He has ridden the last 250K miles with no 2nd gear. Or you could just do like @cowpuc and a bunch of others and just skip 2nd gear.
  15. Looks like a good way to start.
  16. Looks good. I can see my spot.
  17. Seeeeee there ya go, I'm getting dragged into it again........ Tomorrow is pretty short notice for SNOW, especially in Florida.........:snow: Maybe I can hit West Virginia, not so far away.......:snow2:
  18. I just went back and reread that entire post. I only saw 1 reply that might be construed as being directed at you. It wasn't but could have been mistaken. Most of the potshots were directed at me, but knowing the shooters it just gave me a good laugh. Taken individually and out of context they may be nasty comments, but in contexts were attempts at humor. The majority of posts were simply because various dealers and Yamaha factory reps have been telling us about a new venture for at least the last 5 years, Most of us are now in the I'll believe it once I sit on it camp. There is a post that resurfaced on this same subject from back in 2011 where everyone was already picking on Yamaha for all of the broken promises of a new Venture. I can assure you that none of those comments were directed at you personally. Some of them were directed at me personally, but I am good at ducking. I'm sorry if I was in the middle of what offended you, That surely was not the intent.
  19. Oh great, now I have to pack Tazer repellent.
  20. Very well said Earl. See ya in a couple weeks.
  21. MMmmmmmm...... Pizza with an ice cream chaser. My heart job is just before MD, I am still planning to make it but will definitely be in the truck. MIGHT even be able to drag Erika along. I also do not know about crawling around on the ground pulling out stuck bolts......... I'll just be a supervisor this time. Its a dirty job but someones got to do it.
  22. Silly question, but, did you ever consider triking someone from the stable? There are 1st and 2nd gen trike kits out there.
  23. If you only ran the old gas down to 1 bar there was close to 2 gallons in the tank that you mixed with fresh gas. So you still have questionable gas. On most of these when the last bar goes out you have 1 gallon left in the tank. The first tank went 100k with one bar left, now you have better gas and are at 129k with 2 bars left, that is definite progress, When you put in the fresh gas, how much did it take? Strap on a gas can and head out, ride until it is empty to get the last of the old gas out. Then fill it up with some Seafoam in the fresh gas to help with what is left of the old gas. Every spring My bike is not right till I start the 4th full tank of gas. See, now you have to go for another long ride.........
  24. Interesting tool. IF your valve clearance is bad enough to show up on that tool then you should not be running that engine at all. That tool can show a valve that is not sealing. As long as your lash is less than zero the valve will still close completely and should seal. That tool does not tell you what the valve clearance is. Only that a valve is not sealing or there is a vacuum leak in the manifold. So if the tool is saying that one valve is not closing, You may have a much bigger problem than needing the valves adjusted. Here is the manual that says what the tool can do. http://www.tecmate.com.au/pdf/vaccummate_TMNA_VMR6_eng.pdf
