Paris under seige!!!!

Thoughts and condolences go out for all victims, their families and friends. -
That is exactly what is happening, But I was told that it can not be setup for a max number of failed attempts because the CEO has trouble remembering his password and did not like getting locked out of HIS system.......... My new password was created by a random generator using Upper case, lower case, numbers, and symbols and is many many characters long. So at least the bots will not hit it quickly, as long as they can hit someone else first and leave me alone, I'm happy.

It is , but that aint old, my grandma at 101 is old.

But if a situation was happening to you a couple of times a year, would you not be able to remember that you have seen this before and how to fix it?

Ice cream runs are NEVER out of the question. -
I found out that happens a couple times a year to them. Yet they had no clue what was happening till they paid an outside expert. Then finally said "Oh yea......":bang head: :bang head:

I do have those dummy accounts so that I will know if someone has hacked into my contacts. This was not a case of someone getting into my contacts, that we know of, but a case of them using my email account to send to their own contact list of millions of emails. I make no claim to be a puter expert of any kind, but I do know just enough to be dangerous..........

Your correct that our IT guy is not real good at this kind of stuff. They called in an outside "expert" to look into this. After about 20 minutes he determined that the emails were originating from the company server. He said that someone hacked my email password and was using our servers to send out millions of emails with my email address as the from and the from name being spoofed to random names. So it was a simple change my email password and restart the email server and the barrage of emails is now slowing down. the emails of "undeliverable" stopped within a few minutes. now the ones that say the email was trying to be delivered for 4 hours unsuccessfully are the only ones coming in. In 2 more hours that 4 hour window will be up and hopefully be the end to this. I suggested that they might need better protection on the company servers. If someone can hack an email that easy what else are they getting into? The theory was that my email got hacked simply because alphabetically it is the first one on the list. I am betting that our assigned passwords are in the top 20 of most popular passwords.

I am getting thousands of emails indicating that a sent email is undeliverable for various reasons. This is for an email account that I have NEVER given to anyone and I did not even know it existed. The emails are not being sent from my computer, my email address is being spoofed on to what some spamer is sending as the from address with random names as the displayed from person. These emails are going out even if my computer is turned off and the power cord unplugged. So I know they can not possibly be originating from my computer. This is on my work computer, there are 2 company names in the server, one of the company names is what I do use for my email, the other company name is attached to me by default and our IT guy says there is no way to separate them to simply turn off the offending one. because no one else in the company is having this issue, we are assuming that the company servers also are not being hacked Since I am getting thousands of undeliverable notices, I can only wonder just how many emails are going out with my email addy attached as the from. This just started at 5:40am yesterday. I have already created a rule to move all undeliverable notifications to a separate folder so that I can still get in real email and have a chance of finding it. But I have to now leave my email turned off so that I do not have a steady stream of new mail beeps and sucking up the bandwidth to load them all. Does anyone have any idea as to how to make it stop.

Yup it was rocking and rolling here last night. But everything here is OK. Just some scattered trees down and scattered power outages. I found my garbage can about a half block away. The lights blinked a few times but never went out for more than a second. It sure sounds like out west got it pretty good, not a lot of snow but with the 50MPH wind it don't take much to make things bad. Hope everyone made it OK. Tonight we are getting the 50MPH winds and some snow. I wonder just how far east this wind can carry the snow........ On last nights news they had some poor reporter standing at the lake front with the big waves coming in. He got knocked off his feet a few times on live TV by the waves crashing up over the boardwalk and the streets along the lake were flooded by the wave action, just like a mini hurricane storm surge, that poor reporter was standing on the sidewalk in a foot of water and was drenched with 50° lake water. And yes there were some good lightening strikes to charge my brand new Flux Capacitor, I can now get extreme power bursts to the Snowper Charger that is powering your FAVORITE machine . Should raise performance up another notch or two and have the reserve power to prevent the bogging down that was happening under a heavy load. But last night the wind was out of the south east to carry the snow to the plains states, it is now Swining round to da west jist fer mi good budy what cen't spel, @cowpuc. -

Looks like T storms will be here soon. Winds up to 50 MPH. Lots of lightening. Turning to possible snow by Friday. With some Luck I will get a direct lightening strike to charge the new Flux Capacitor. By the way Who is this flyingfool you keep referring to? -
Clean up leaves? I think I have a leaf rake somewhere, haven't used it in at least a decade or two. I just ignore them and wait for a "little breeze" to send them on to the east. With 20ft waves coming in, you might even get some surfers show up. OK now you went and got the engineer in me thinking again, you know that is always dangerous. I'm wondering just how long a shipload of coal will last for running that power plant? How much coal is on that ship compared to the 300 train car loads of coal that is delivered to our local power plant EVERY day. If our power plant is burning 300 carloads of coal a day that means that each carload of coal will last about 4.8 minutes, on average. You just know that there is a higher burn rate in the daytime vs night time. I wonder just how many tons of coal they can burn per minute, or even is it tons per second? OK I'll shut up and go back to work and stop thinking out loud..........

Once you adjust that screw, don't forget to put something back on it to lock it in place. The vibrations of the horn will quickly change the screw setting if you don't. There is a green loctite thread locker that is made specifically for locking adjustment screws and it is applied to the outside of the tred joint after assembly. The Green bearing retainer is something totally different. You could also try some of the wifes (or your own ) fingernail polish (don't get caught ) to lock the screw after adjustment.

ignitech pick up coil question
Flyinfool replied to jdog910's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
If the tach works that means that the TCI is outputting a spark signal. The tach is driven off the #2 spark signal. Check the red/white wire to the coils for power. -

Has it ever worked or is this a new install? Does the tach register while cranking? -
Maybe Yami got cold feet alter the big negative response over the spy photos that came out early this year.

Did you change tires? Check your tire pressure? As mentioned, in 5th gear at around 65-70MPH crack the throttle wide open, if the clutch is gonna slip, this is where it will happen.

Sunburn can happen when you are skinny dipping at the beach...... But we will remind you to keep the rotisserie turning.

Ignetek rev limit

Anything over red line is always at your own risk. The bottom end can handle it. As long as your not floating the valves, you are fine. The valve float is the limiting factor.
