  1. It might be an option for the whimpy headlight in the early MK1 bikes.
  2. And the biggest change is that almost half of them file bankruptcy within 5 years.
  3. There has to be a software engineer on this site somewhere. It is always dangerous to tell any engineer to look outside the box.........
  4. I plan to spend the weekend in the house watching the idiot box. I would rather see snow than sub zero temps.
  5. Since it is the low beam and ground connectors that are melted, it is possible that that a filament broke in the bulb and landed in such a way as to short the bulb internally to draw more power but not quite enough to blow the fuse. Since it is both terminals that melted it is less likely that it was due to a bad or corroded contact. The odds of 2 out of 3 having the same corrosion at the same time it much less. This is all just a WAG on my part without being there to check things out. I would get a new connector and a new bulb to try out.
  6. OK Since you want to get "Out of the box" Do we have someone on this forum that knows how to develop an app so that with just the push of a button on your smart phone it will use your current location and then be able to access the master list on this site to get the closest persons info for the help that you need. This way once set up it would require no extra manual input to maintain. Well you asked for it......
  7. OUCH!
  8. Congratulations. My last two dogs were going to be my last dog ever. The dog I have now (English Springer Spaniel) again will be my last dog ever. But the dog I have now does have a bit of the devil in her. She hates cameras with a passion. If looks could kill, this is the closest pic I have ever seen to that look.
  9. There is also a ferry that works right out of Pucs back yard and lands right in my backyard.
  10. Not every she has horns but some definitely do.
  11. I found this where @cowpuc refers to Tweeks as a she.
  12. If you do a group ride from MI, just don't let Puc lead, he gets lost a lot................ But then we do get great winter stories about his getting lost........... This being Wisconsin, I'll bet we can come up with some GOOD cheese for those dogs. And just for @cowpuc, maybe some goat cheese.........
  13. Did you replace the old springs with new stock springs, or go with a heavier after market spring? Did you put the wire retainer back in on the new full plate? You should NOT have the wire retainer in there with the full plate. Next guess would be that something is not lined up correctly on the pressure plate. What oil are you running? Many or most automotive oils have friction modifiers and will cause the clutch to slip.
  14. Maybe you need to round up the whole MI contingent and drag them over here.
  15. does that mean you need some SNOW to keep you occupied for a while?
  16. Yes it can.............
  17. Hear is a link to the June 2016 calendar page. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/calendar.php?month=6&year=2016&calendarid=1&s=
  18. It is definitely better now. I don't quite have enough time now for a proper fridge run while the page is loading.
  19. Turbo? There aint no wimpy turbo. I built in a Snowper Charger powered by a 1.21 gigawatt Flux Capacitor.
  20. With no Rick and Shirley, who is gonna eat all the RUM Balls????
  21. But Puc, Moe aint French....................
  22. Beautiful And I thought I remember someone insisting that they were immune to my toys.......................
  23. I went in to the doc for my 4 week checkup. Initially I was told 6 weeks before I could start walking on it with the boot, Now at 4 weeks I am walking on it with the boot. The doc was and is amazed at how fast someone "MY AGE" is able to heal. She was very impressed with how everything looks, the x-rays looked wonderful. I have already got about 50% of my range of motion back, because I have been doing the prescribed exercises religiously. There was zero swelling which she said is also amazing. So the original estimate of not wearing a pair of shoes till May or June has been moved up to by the end of March possibly even early March. That will give me time to work on the bike and strengthen the leg back up so that I can safely ride by the time riding season starts. I did get to see pics of what was done. There are 2 main ligaments that hold the ankle together, one was torn completely in half and the other was torn 90+% with just a thread holding on. The doc did not know how I was able to walk into the hospital. I should have just fell down with nothing holding the foot bone to the leg bone. Things are looking up. Thanks again for all the pratyers and well wishes, I'm sure that they must have helped for someone "MY AGE" to heal so fast.
  24. I'm guessing it tastes a lot like Rocky Mountain oysters. Still not on my menu. I leave them for the coyotes.
  25. I think it is just that if you do not have a lightning fast internet connection it does take a while to load all of those pics. When I open a thread like that I head for the can and/or the fridge to give it time to load. It takes about 5-7 minutes for my snail connection to load all those links. My puter also seems to completely lock up while it is working so hard at all of the downloads. It is not actually locked up it is just really bogged down with the workload. Of course it is Pucs fault. If we did not pick on poor old Puc he would think we were mad at him.
