  1. I am just a snowball throw away from there on the other side of the pond and gas is pushing back UP to the $2.00 mark. But we have great ice cream and home of Klements and Johnsonville sausages.
  2. I only looked for 10 minutes................ But then it aint here to blind me.................

  4. I haven't even heard of a lot of 1st gen starters actually dying, just the slow cranking when hot and people replacing them just to feel like they were not on the verge of being stranded. But I have never had it not start. I had one of the aftermarket high torque GM starters when I had the race car. The engine had so much compression that it would shatter the nose casting of the stock starter. The high torque starter had what looked like a motorcycle starter and that ran thru an additional gear reduction in a billet nose piece before it got to the flywheel. Our bikes already have a 2 (or 3?) stage gear reduction between the motor and the flywheel.
  5. That hose set is for the VMAX, anyone know how close that is to a 1st gen Venture?
  6. $1 USD = 79.2975 Russian Rubble.
  7. See I told you he was gonna show up fer some dogs................. Why else would he want to know where you are.
  8. In the USA it is by state. Some states allow you to remain anonymous and some require that your name and picture be released for advertizing.
  9. OH oH A pic of a hot dog!!!! You're going to have a @Cowpuc show up if you're not careful.
  10. Sounds like a great time.
  11. Over $600 for a pair of tires? You need a new dealer. Date code is important. after 6-7 years the rubber is breaking down and getting hard which means slippery, harder rubber will also start cracking instead of flexing and could cause a blowout at the worst possible time.
  12. It might be an option for the whimpy headlight in the early MK1 bikes.
  13. And the biggest change is that almost half of them file bankruptcy within 5 years.
  14. There has to be a software engineer on this site somewhere. It is always dangerous to tell any engineer to look outside the box.........
  15. I plan to spend the weekend in the house watching the idiot box. I would rather see snow than sub zero temps.
  16. Since it is the low beam and ground connectors that are melted, it is possible that that a filament broke in the bulb and landed in such a way as to short the bulb internally to draw more power but not quite enough to blow the fuse. Since it is both terminals that melted it is less likely that it was due to a bad or corroded contact. The odds of 2 out of 3 having the same corrosion at the same time it much less. This is all just a WAG on my part without being there to check things out. I would get a new connector and a new bulb to try out.
  17. OK Since you want to get "Out of the box" Do we have someone on this forum that knows how to develop an app so that with just the push of a button on your smart phone it will use your current location and then be able to access the master list on this site to get the closest persons info for the help that you need. This way once set up it would require no extra manual input to maintain. Well you asked for it......
  18. OUCH!
  19. There is also a ferry that works right out of Pucs back yard and lands right in my backyard.
  20. Not every she has horns but some definitely do.
  21. I found this where @cowpuc refers to Tweeks as a she.
  22. If you do a group ride from MI, just don't let Puc lead, he gets lost a lot................ But then we do get great winter stories about his getting lost........... This being Wisconsin, I'll bet we can come up with some GOOD cheese for those dogs. And just for @cowpuc, maybe some goat cheese.........
  23. Did you replace the old springs with new stock springs, or go with a heavier after market spring? Did you put the wire retainer back in on the new full plate? You should NOT have the wire retainer in there with the full plate. Next guess would be that something is not lined up correctly on the pressure plate. What oil are you running? Many or most automotive oils have friction modifiers and will cause the clutch to slip.
  24. Maybe you need to round up the whole MI contingent and drag them over here.
  25. does that mean you need some SNOW to keep you occupied for a while?
