  1. It sure looks like it was a police escorted ride. With as quick as the cop showed up he must have been right behind and watching everything. The cop went after the cage instead of the bikes. We do not see what happened before hand.
  2. And Puc broke his puter and is now on an old computer that does not have a period button.................. Puc here are some spares for ya..........................................................................................
  3. This sounds like a problem. fuses are all on the hot side not on the ground side. Check all of your crimped connections, I have seen it where the wire was pushed in to far and the crimp was done over the insulation instead of the stripped end of the wire.
  4. Love the trip report while I am stuck stranded here. Please keep um comin. I have to ask the obvious question. Are those now JB Weld gaskets on the water pump?
  5. There is another small fuse panel in front of the battery. check those fuses to.
  6. I prefer the diaphragms from Sirius. They install just like the factory ones. The JPM ones require a minor modification to the slides that will make it difficult or impossible to use other than the JPM in the future. http://www.siriusconinc.com/search_result.php?search=search&make=2&model=xvz1300&part=1&partno=&x=45&y=12
  7. I took 20 years off from riding, when I was last riding it was on a KZ750 that was decked out for touring. After that 20 year break I got my 1st gen, just because it can go 100 MPH in third does not mean that I did and I am still alive with most of my skin still attached. My next door neighbor got a Suzuki Hayabusa as his FIRST EVER bike. That is a seriously fast bike and he is still alive. (I am still working on a chance to take it out for a spin.) Depending on your friends attitude at a minimum get him to a big empty parking lot to work on basic handling. Better would be to take some courses over again. Since he had you take it for the test ride for him, it sounds like he may be sensible enough to realize his limitations and to accept help and suggestions. Good luck for the both of you.
  8. Bummer. But that is actually fairly common to break that off. Ebay might be your friend here, or maybe some one has one on a parts bike. Seeing as how it is brakes which are the most important thing on a bike, I would not try to "glue" it back on. When trying to get the plug out, put a second wrench on the flats of the casting to help support it. The casting does break easy.
  9. The new bluray payer is now in the hands of FedEX, It should be here on the 10th. The pic on this TV is so much better than my old one and I know that it is not yet hit near its full potential until i get access to better source material. But that is all in the process of upgrading all of the peripherals.
  10. Naughty Naughty. Doc is gonna spank you till you cant sit down to keep you off the bike. Don't go pushing it and end up doing permanent damage.
  11. TV is here, still waiting on the blu ray player to go with it. Compared to what I had this picture is amazing. AND I a\have not yet fed it i true HD or UHD signal.
  12. SNOW!

  15. You mean that you did not know that your company car has built in GPS monitoring............................. Makes it easy to track you with the machine set on auto.
  16. I don't know Puc, That is a pretty rag tag bunch you have me mixed up with. By now it must be at least a few hours since I caused any trouble............
  17. As a conasewer of burgers I would love to watch @cowpuc try to wrap himself around a 747 burger with just one hand. 3 hands is better. They have some great food. And it is just a hop skip and a jump away.
  18. OK if you say so...........
  19. Yup it is coming fast. Time for FOOD. 6th Annual M&E in Milwaukee coming up next week on March 12. Please RSVP if you can make it. Hope to see you there.
  20. I seem to remember a post a while back with similar weird combinations of electrical gremlins on seemingly unrelated circuits. It turned out to be a bad ignition bypass relay.
  21. Mine is gonna say "Gone headed north for the winter" We don't get enough snow around here anymore...................
  22. That don't look near as bad as I had envisioned. That means that you are half way there bro. Keep up the good work and in no time at all you will be able to tell me I am #1 without wincing ................. You don't think you will have to tell me I am #1 ? Remember that 60° SNOW you were talking about................?
  23. I guess a drink of rye is better than a drink of lye........................

    sun

That was not the sun that made your eyes burn, it was the battery acid that you had to use to get that image off of your retinas.
