  1. I miss my Rem Model 7 stainless in .243. Sold it to a friend for his kid to use to get into deer hunting. I still want it back. I have to put scopes on everything, my eyes are to bad to use irons. I do better from the hip than I do with irons.
  2. I am so glad that WI just got rid of the waiting period. I can now buy and head straight to the range the same day.
  3. I know that place. I'll have them pack something special in the box just for you. A very special miniaturized GPS nozzle tracking device to send you a special spring treat. Don't bother trying to find it, it is to small to be seen with the human eye, but works real well.
  4. Awesome news. Let the parties begin....... Erika was working for a cardiologist. So I had to go and end up needing one.
  5. using the above info. MCT has a circumference of 80.80 CT has a circumference of 84.51 That taller car tire will also roll about 3.7 inches farther per engine revolution. Most people that mess with gear ratios head in the opposite direction to get less distance per revolution.
  6. Speaking of Friday night for dinner. Is anyone handling the arrangements at the Steak and Lube? Looking back at last years MD there were 99 members that did RSVP, 43 of those did not RSVP until April or May, and the MD was held in May last year. So with it being 3 weeks later this year The rush will likely not start for another 3 weeks yet. Got to give the procrastinators time to wake up.
  7. 7mm-08 Handgun (for sale) Only one I have pic of at work. In the first pic is a 357 Mag for comparison to a round of 7mm-08
  8. I have had a pull to the left since I bought my bike. That pull has persisted thru 2 sets of brakes, 3 sets of tires, new front springs and oil checking and measuring everything looking for a tweaked frame. I even tried intentionally sitting off to both sides of the seat, and loading 20 lbs in just one side bag. Nothing could make it go away, and now I have learned to live with it, now if I get on a bike that does not pull it feels weird. But since your pull seems to come and go, that indicates an issue that needs to be found. With the bike on the center stand lift the front wheel off the ground and check the steering head bearings for any resistance or notchyness and for proper tightness.
  9. Oh you troublemakers, Now I have to check the balance of my rims the next time I get tires. Has anyone ever tried balancing the rim before mounting the tire? At this point you would know that any imbalance is in the tire, If a tire is way out of balance then you know that there is something wrong with that tire. Just thinking out loud here, That is always dangerous.
  10. Sounds like some nice finds. But you know the rules. Unfortunately my addiction is not limited to just rifles. I like hand guns just as much. There are a couple on my short list just waiting for me to find one so that I can break the bank. I do not get guns just for presentation, all of mine are regular shooters. If I find I am not using one enough it needs to have a new home. I have a couple in that boat right now. I have a couple of old Swedish Mauser's. One is very highly customized by me with zero help from any gunsmith (I love taking things apart and making them better than they were) it has a custom barrel that I bought a rifled blank and turned my own chamber threads and taper, bolt was reworked for scope clearance, completely different safety system, custom hardwood stock, a real trigger and accurizing work done everywhere I can find, and a weatherproof finish for deer hunting. This one started life as a gun that the owner hunted with in November in a pouring rain, put the wet gun into its case to go home, and when he got home the cased wet gun went up into the rafters in the garage, and stayed there until the next hunting season. The rust was so thick that you could not see any light at all thru the bore. By the time I got it cleaned out the rifling was barley visible as slightly rounded humps. It shot ~22 inch groups at 100 yds. On a good day, if I am doing my part (that does not seem to happen often anymore ) the gun will put 5 shots inside of a dime at 100 yards. There are a lot of deer that are not happy with that gun.
  11. At least it was an easy fix for a change.
  12. Chat has been working great for the most part, (Thanks again for bringing it back to life) a few minor glitches hear and there but nothing insurmountable. One thing that finally hit me today was that the are 2 chat rooms, A Lobby and a Technical Dissussion. I was not sure what a dissussion was. Like I should be talking about spelling........
  13. I was looking for a left cover a long time ago. But I did aquire one way back then. This was several years ago.
  14. I have always wanted to try that method..........
  15. Pinwall is not a user name, it is the name of a company that parts out bikes. http://www.pinwallcycle.com
  16. For all of the Maybe procrastinators. There is a Maybe option on the Calendar. Even a maybe is better than nothing for the planners, you can always change the maybe to a yes or no once your situations firm up.
  17. Very Purdy, That may be a direction I head when/if I ever grow up. Especially in red........ Condor; I thought that @Carbon_One had a hitch on his?
  18. With the engine off, put the bike in gear. Can you move the bike? If you can move the bike in gear then the piston was likely over extended and got stuck there holding the clutch in a disengaged position. I do not know if you could push the piston back from the other side of the bike to free it up. If you can not move the bike, then it is most likely a seized piston in the slave. Maybe pull harder on the clutch lever to brake it loose or try getting it to move from the other side of the engine. But even if you do get it to move, if it got stuck once then it is likely there is/was moisture in the system that has caused corrosion to stick the piston and you may still end up rebuilding or replacing the slave. But from your descriptions, since you are certain that everything is assembled correctly and you do have fluid movement to the slave, the only thing left is the slave.
  19. OK, I'll mess with the old puc to. Diodes also have an interesting property to take into account. They will drop up to 1 volt per diode depending on what type they are. Unlike a resistor where there are formulas to calculate the voltage drop based on voltage and amperage, the diode just drops a fixed amount of voltage, common is 0.6V, it does not matter what the input voltage is, it will drop the same 0.6V. So that bridge rectifier that has 4 diodes in series can drop 2.4V.
  20. Sounds interesting. Even in progress pics are a good thing.
  21. Threatening Frosty. That is a dangerous track to follow. Lets see, time for a little math. Just how much snow would it take so that MI was still busy digging come MD................... and then add in some additional for a safety factor.................. All in the interest of protecting Frosty ya know............. Got the wheels spinning on the old kaleidoscope now............. Ohhhhhh, that is a big number..................................
  22. I never claimed to have a clue either.
  23. In a meeting one time the CEO of the company was explaining that he wears rubber gloves that go up to the elbow when he is working around the battery in his car. It takes less than one amp to kill ya and that car battery has 800 amps.................
  24. Most of the TVs do have a sleep timer. Unfortunately most of them are also buried in the menus and are not a simple one or two button presses like in the good old days.
  25. It could not have a question cuz it did not end with a question mark, therefor it is just a statement. Your last post did end with a question mark so it is getting an answer. Yes I did notice. No I do not have a good answer. But I am good at bad answers...........
