I could be wrong as I do not have that style clutch, But are there not 6 springs to a set? -
Puc you could always kind of do a go around for discussion purposes of a neat feature or item by putting the actual pic and or text, with the advertising part removed, in the thread instead of a link that will go bad as soon as it sells. That way the features could be discussed on their own merits and the thread will not loose validity in a few days. This way you are not violating the advertising rules since there is no price or contact info and still have discussion that will be valid for years to come.

angle in corners?
Flyinfool replied to baylensman's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
That is why the oem foot pegs and floorboards are spring loaded and hinged. You WILL hear and feel the scrape and that is your warning to go no farther into the lean, the spring will allow the peg or floorboard to deflect and not reduce tire contact pressure, because you are right if the frame or other hard mounted parts scrape, they will lift a tire and then really bad things happen. -
And Just who is this frosty character that you speak of?????????? Thats OK, I never get mad, but I always get even..................

Not having a star on your bike is NOT a valid excuse to depart our company. Stick around, you still can have fun here.

As far as those MIA. Are you talking physically or mentally, I may fit one of those categories....................

angle in corners?

Dang it anyhow. Now you got me thinking again, We all know just how dangerous that can be.......... AND winter is nearly here which gives me time to act on my thoughts............. Is there already a provision to mount a stud on the foot pegs of a 1st gen or the floor boards of a 2nd gen? (I am assuming that the boards are the first part to drag on a 2nd gen?) I will have to go out tonight in the dark and see if I can figure out how to mount a set of sparkers on my 1st gen. I have sourced some magnesium bar stock to load up in the lathe............... Is there any interest in a set of magnesium feelers to fit a 1st or a 2nd gen? -

Here ya go. http://secure.billydump.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=263 These are Titanium which will make good sparks, But if you can find them magnesium makes even better sparks. -
Yup you missed some. In #1 , All powered vehicles that operate on a roadway, must be licensed and insured regardless of size or number of wheels. in #4 , everyone needs eye protection regardless of age. Number 4 and 5 contradict each other. If you are not required to wear a helmet, than why have to cover toes and torso? Number 7, dad will just say he is the primary operator and nothing will change. In #8 , Any vehicle that is operated by someone unlicensed will be impounded, regardless of number of wheels.

Today we are supposed to break another hi temp record for the day. And there is not a cloud to be found anywhere. We are getting close to breaking a bunch of heat records. But the weatherman is promising that it will get cold enough to have SNOW!!

There is someone that sells magnesium studs to put on your floor boards or whatever hits first, so that when you scrape you throw off a big shower of sparks to look cool. -
My Aunt nad Uncle have a farm. After the last cow escape he was mad and went to the farm store and bought the most powerful fencer they had. He was sneaky though, if saw us heading for the river we would have to cross the fence several times. He would turn it off while someone grabbed a blade of grass to test to see if it was on and then he would turn it back on as soon as someone touched it. then you could hear him laughing back up in the barn. He forgot that he was messing with another prankster. So when he went out to feed the cattle he would turn the fencer off. While he was out in the field somehow the fencer got turned back on........... I have no idea how........... But there were a bunch of us standing there laughing......... I might be a little different, I seem to like electricity. I used to hook myself up to a high voltage source and then I could make sparks jump out the end of my fingers. If you shook my hand or I could sneak up behind you and touch your ear.......... Maybe this playing with electricity explains some things about me....................

I do almost nothing for cosmetic reasons. I did put in HID and LEDs to make me more visible and to let me see where I am going, and save wear and tear on the electrical system. I added a receiver hitch so that it will not be real noticeable but I can still pull my trailer. Other than that I have simply replaced or fixed stuff that was worn out or broken.

I can not say that I have ever noticed the thank or like button not being there on yours or any one else post. On the other hand, you will not see a thank or like button on your own post. If you log in as someone else then they will be there, you can not thank or like your own post.

Are you getting tired of TV commercials that Stretch The Truth?
Flyinfool replied to baylensman's topic in Watering Hole
The bulk of the dishonest commercials just ended now that the election is over. -
Defeated...

Clintons home state is now NY. Because a poll told her to live there. The big theme on the radio this morning was "Is Polling dead?" EVERY poll had Clinton winning, Here in WI every poll had Finegold winning. Nearly every poll got it wrong. I hate hearing about polls constantly. I sure hope they are dead.

yuk with the powder coating
Flyinfool replied to Rotten's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
A lot depends on how properly the powder coat was applied. Was the surface sand blasted to give some tooth for the powder to hold onto? If it is a real good quality powder and applied correctly it will be very hard to remove, If it was cheap powder or not cured correctly it is much easier to remove. Sooooooo You have anything from a not to bad of a job to a near disaster. I would try cleaning a small inconspicuous corner to see how the job was done before just diving in. -
Since you made sparks, check for blown fuses.

If you are going to use gold bullets then you are most likely casting them yourself, and most likely loading them your self, which means it is easy to work up a load that will keep pressure under control. Silver is closer to lead in weight and is much more readily available, and much less expensive to stockpile. -
I actually like the daylight saving time better than the standard time. I wish it did not change back and forth but would stay on daylight saving time year round. I always go into depression in the winter because it is dark when I get to work and dark when I leave work. If it were daylight saving time year round I would at least see the light on my way home from work. When I get depressed I tend to take things out on others Especially ol @cowpuc

But that means that I have to have a Win 10 machine which is what I do NOT want to have.
