Thanks Rooster I'll probably take you up on that. I thought Jeff could hit a few of the places for me, but then he got the new job and he'll be here instead. Margaret

So far two for the 13 - 17 and one for the 6 - 10, still counting. Margaret

Which one would be better? August 6 - 10 OR August 13 - 17 I thought the first one might make it easier on some of the members who start work back at the schools. Not sure if it will help everyone though. Just let me know folks. Margaret

Ok so do you folks want to start on a monday next year? Or just keep it starting on a wed? I guess I should set up a quick poll so we can get started on reservations and such. I'll work on that. Margaret

Salty the Biltmore is nice, but if you do go I recommend taking a picnic lunch with you. The food is way too expensive, but once they get you in there you don't have a choice. They have the food in the middle of your trip through, so you have to get to the end to leave. They actually have some stuff you may be interested in. Margaret

I was looking at all you can do in the area too, then I thought maybe we should make it longer if we want to do stuff and relax. :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: On a more serious note if you want to go to the Biltmore house you can get your tickets for that at the KOA office. I think they have tickets to some of the other area stuff that requires an entrance fee. Margaret

By now most of you know the Lewis and Charlene are taking a well deserved break next year. I think they've earned a break, these events are stressful to put together plus the fact that Charlene got hurt this year was tough on Lewis. So Jeff and I decided to put something together for a replacement for next year. Now I need to know how many are interested in going. I'll have to start making some of the arrangements now. We are going to have it in Asheville NC. I'm planning on setting it up through Asheville East KOA. These are the breakdowns price wise for staying: RV sites $25 - $35, Tent sites $22 - $29, Kabins $30 - $70, Kottage-Lodge $90 - $125 They have the kottage lodges with bathrooms. All the kabins and kottages have ac. They have wifi as well as data ports available. If I set this up through KOA they recommend you start large gathering plans about a year in advance. So if you all would let me know if you're interested I can get started. I've already checked out stuff to do in the area, and ladies you'll like the fact that they have a craft place where you can buy the stuff they make. Not sure what exactly we'll do when we get there it's still in the early stages of planning. I'm not planning a ride to the dragon, but I'm sure if you want to go someone would be willing to get you there. Here's a link to the website to give you an idea of what it's like there. http://www.koa.com/where/nc/33116/facilities/ I've been to this KOA and they are very biker friendly. So let me know what you all think. Margaret

The Oficial "I Dropped My Bike At Vogel" Thread
mini-muffin replied to 86er's topic in Embarrassing Moments
You can't tell them that it was last year they may try to charge you interest. :rotf::rotf::rotf: Of course if we do count all three years this is gonna get to be a big group. Margaret -
I think we need a lot more help then the stills. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to see either. The only thing that was different was the truck pulling the trailer. That doesn't seem out of the ordinary to me. Margaret

I was sorry to hear your Aunt passed away. From what you've told us about her she'll always be with you whenever you ride, since she was the one who gave you your love of riding. Hearing so many were at the service for her only goes to show how many lives she touched. You may not have been there for her final ride in person but you were there in your heart. Just cherish your memories and smile every time you ride your bike, 'cause it sounds like she was happy every time she rode hers. Margaret

OH Sherry sweetie I am devastated for you. All any of us can say is we are here for you whenever you need us. You were very sweet to me recently with my grandmothers cancer I want to be able to do the same for you. Here's my number 252-426-9691 if and when you need to talk no matter what time. Tom's getting lots of prayers as well as you and your boys. Love you sweetie. Margaret

Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers. I'm actually not all that sad for her. I feel bad for my grandfather because he's alone now after so many years. But I knew she was ready to go, she wanted to see her family again. I've been very lucky I had a great-grandmother till I was 14 (women in my family seem to live a long time). I had a great-grandfather till I was about 2 or 3 not that I really remember. I was also lucky to have spent so much of my time growing up with my grandparents. I went everywhere with them. We are only sad for ourselves and the fact that we'll miss someone. So instead of being sad I was happy for her. Margaret

Your problem can be the brake fluid or the short flex line swelling try re bleeding the clutch till you get all of the old fluid out if that does not help order the flex line and replace it.
