  1. Sorry to see your trip ending, but very glad you made it again. I'll be looking forward to the rest of your trip and the posts. Margaret
  2. Nope it if were an HD it would cost extra for the oil that comes with it and the oil dry for the leaks.:crackup: Margaret
  3. Since ya posted this and nobody has responded I'll say probably not. But you still have all of us. We're just glad to see you coming back here. Of course you can make it to the Annual when it's planned. I'll let ya know. Let us know when you are settled or if you need any help when you get here. Margaret
  4. Well I hope you both know you aren't going ANYWHERE. I mean once a VR member always a VR member. Margaret
  5. Glad you're back on two wheels. Jeff enjoyed the day as well. I'm thinking if he could he'd take Zeus for a ride. He's big enough to sit on the back seat. Oh he sent me pics of Xena now she's looking great. She's filled out well. She doesn't look too skinny. Margaret
  6. Sounds like a great ride so far. I'm sure it's gonna get way warmer now. Here's to a great time in TX. I'm sure that crowd will take very good care of you both. Seems like the summer has flown by since you two were in these parts. Margaret
  7. This link is for NC but you can get roads in other states as well. http://www.motorcycleroads.com/best/?c=109 We do have a few folks that run the roads up that way a lot and don't live too far. Hopefully they'll see this and maybe be able to meet up with you. Margaret
  8. How is he going to get the bike registered if he has no license? I guess he may not have to have it to get his tags, but he will need insurance to drive won't he?Not sure what the rules are in your state. And no offense but I wouldn't ride with someone that arrogant who has never ridden a bike. He's definitely an accident waiting to happen, I just hope he doesn't take anyone else with him. Margaret
  9. Well I can say we've never abandoned anyone that we've ridden with that broke down or had some sort of trouble. We also stop for all sorts whether folks on bikes women alone in a car or with kids, or older folks. I can't imagine leaving someone on the side of the road that I'm riding with. Margaret
  10. When you get a chance let us know how she's doing today. She'll be a little slow. How's her brother around here? Might need to keep them separate for a few days if he's too bouncy around her. Margaret
  11. Maybe you should ask your neighbor what he would think of a car dealer selling someone a corvette as a first car to someone without a license or driving lessons? Or if he thinks car dealers are looking out for the customer. If he says no then ask him why he would think the bike dealer does. Margaret
  12. Enjoy your trip. http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=80920&highlight=Asheville Here's a link to a thread posted earlier about the BRP in North Carolina. Not sure if the road will still be in the same shape. The first post has the link to the website for the BRP with conditions listed. Hope you have good weather as well. Should be really pretty during your trip, don't forget to take plenty of pics to show the wife. Margaret
  13. Congrat's you two. Have a great weekend and here's to many more years to come. Margaret & Jeff
  14. If we can go it wouldn't be any longer then going to MD for us. Should be just about 11 hrs. Oh and flyinfool might get better gas mileage if he didn't eat ice cream at every stop. Margaret

Of course we're great we're all taking our meds at the moment. Glad you both joined, hope you can meet up with some of the crazy folks on here. Margaret
  16. The International looks like it will be the end of July. So that leaves us August. Figure MD is in June typically, then the Int. in July so Aug would be good. Especially since the Intl is gonna be in AL this coming year. Just food for thought as we figure this out. Margaret
  17. Ya gotta watch out for that Carl. He's a smooth talker for sure.:rotf::crackup: Margaret
  18. Sorry to hear the news. At least he's pain free now. Condolences to his family. Margaret
  19. Sounds like we'll be spending a lot of time at the campground not riding anywhere. :rotf::rotf: Margaret
  20. Heck I'll make the Apple Pie, but I ain't drinking it. Wasn't feeling too good this year at MD on sat morning. I don't even know how much of it I drank. But I can make it. I've been toying with the idea of making some mead as well. That would give me a whole bunch of guin.... Um I mean folks to try it with.:crackup: I say we think about it for next year for sure. Margaret
  21. For those who haven't been to the area if there are any places you want to see we can arrange a group ride. The first year I set up a group ride to Biltmore house. We had a blast. Like Randy said we never have done any fancy stuff, just time to kick back and have fun. It's easy access to lots of riding areas. The Blue Ridge of course, but it's not too far to get into TN. The Smokey MT are right near by as well. I'd definitely go, get to see my granddaughter as well they live in Shelby. Did that last time I was there. I thought about something for Mark as well, but with the International and Vogel it would be too much. Definitely would be great to do a special ride maybe for Mark if we get this set up for next year. Oh just thought of it maybe some Wine would be there? Just thinking out loud. Margaret
  22. You two be careful in that wet weather. Take your time, TX isn't too far that you have to rush. Just looks it on the map. Margaret
  23. Glad you both are ok. Bike can be replace if it's totaled. Glad the idiot who was in a hurry got at least a ticket. Margaret
  24. Wonder what Leslie will think of that? Margaret
