thanks guys.they have plastic welders at harbor freight.I might do that.I can do that.I was wondering if that would be better than fiberglass resin and cloth.Inside thats what I am going to do primarily, but the tip of the black abs I had picked up on and have some abs cement for that.Used bags on ebay cost $689.For $30-40 I can repair them.I can get a friend of mine to paint them, but if I just have noticeable repairs on the bottom rearward corners as are seen in the pictures a rattlecan of touch up colorrite paint might do it.I traded a little yamaha cruiser for the bike 3 days ago.The owner was a kid about 21 yrs old.It was his first bike.Dumb idea i would say.I assume he dropped it.He said he liked riding my bike, cause his was "kinda heavy".yep.850 lbs versus 500. This may not be the right section but I have pictures.I bought abs glue,selfadhesive metal patches to bend into the curved shapes,fiberglass resin and self adhesive fiberglass tape, do all the repairs inside, then bondo and paint outside are my plans.Is that right? So far my photos havent made it into my computer from my phone.

Just got my 2001, 2 days ago.The kid or someone made the mufflers obnoxiously loud.Looks like they used to have endcaps over them, those are gone.Then the center pipe looks like the middle of them has been cut out.I dont know how to undo the hammering he must have done to the baffles.

I must jump in here.Spy photos have been popping up on different forums.yamaha motorcycle forum for one.The photos have the venture rear pasenger floorboards, but the motor is not clearly visible.looks to be part victory also.Fears are it will be a strat and called the new venture.

A picture would be nice.
