I'll second that Yama mama!! Skid and Leslie done a great job!!! Mighty fine people, Skid and Leslie. Kim and I had a great time and really enjoyed meeting everyone. Looking forward to WV Skid in II. Sorry about you and Ron getting wet. We made it home safe and sound. Did take a beating all the way home with all the cross winds today. But we made it and that's what's important... Chuck

For the Front 150/80 16 takes 8oz. and the same for the rear 150/90 15.
-
The kit comes with a chart. I have mine in hand. What size tire do you have and I'll take a look for you.
-
I order the kit. How much depends on the size of your tires. Both of mine took 7 oz. Chuck

Rear Tire - Dealership Item Only
midnightrider54 replied to midnightrider54's topic in Watering Hole
Chuck, What kind of mileage did you get from that tire? I was thinking of upgrading my wifes 2005 1700 silverado to a Stratoliner, but am concerned about tires. My 2005 Vulcan 2000 Classic LT I got rid of ate a $300 installed rear radial tire every 6000 miles. Her 1700 gets 12000 miles out of a $200 installed rear tire Beyeker, The tire has 7,000 on it currently and still good for a few more miles. We have a trip to Texas planned this September and we want all new rubber before we leave. It's hard to believe that no one sells (or even makes) this size tire. Bridgestone is also listed as OEM and has this size. But from what I have read on here I would like to stay away from them. I guess I'll have to break over (or should I say "bend over") and get it from Yamaha!- 6 replies

The past couple weeks I have been looking for some new tires. When I brought my Roadliner, it came with Dunlop D251's. Front 130/70R 18. Rear 190/60R 17. The front tire I can find anywhere. No matter if it's Dunlop, Avon or what. The rear tire I can not fine. I am told that I have to buy it thru a Yamaha Dealership. Why is this?

Thanks for the information. I ride the Roadliner and it has radials. The Venture has biase. Just didn't know why?
-
I have been searching threads on this site about tires. It has been posted that you should not put a Radial tire on a bike designed for Biased tires. How does one know (or where can they find information) if a bike is designed for radial or biased? Chuck

Great looking bike you goty there Gary! I'm sure there many good miles yet to come. Enjoy! Chuck

I'm bored!!! As I set here and look outside. There is close to 10" of snow and still snowing. Our area is under a Blizzard warning. Aready shoveled the drive way (can't tell it now). Nothing on tv. Nobody home to talk to. Anyone feeling this way?

It's not been a bad winter here in Ohio. Been out riding 4 times since the first of the year. 39 F today. Just came in from a short ride. Planning a trip to Texas in April to visit my daughter and family. Haven't seen them for about a year now. Chuck

You know, he may have. He said he was excited and could'nt sleep, like a child waiting on Christmas!! If you take a ride North. I bet you will find him walking on 79, with screwdriver and a can of carb cleaner in hand.

Good looking scoot you got there Dan. Will you need any special licences to operate that thing. It's got more gadgets and gizmos than the space shuttle. Enjoy
