    no, you can't use a metal screen in a gas tank, you can use a brass one, but not a metal one. I would say, attempt to refrain from using the reserve, that way you can look for an exact replacement while you are happily sucking wind.

    I'm new here. I heard that Yamaha has cancelled the Venture line, and will be putting out a completely different machine, with a completely new base, and they will be cancelling all support for the Ventures, over about a year or two. good luck with that.
