  1. Amazing, congratulations for a great job.
  2. It is amazing how a bad crash can make a person change their mind about wearing gear.
  3. Looks like you got a bargain. People keep giving Harley a hard time about leaks and I have 2 high mileage Japanese bikes and they both leak a little.
  4. It is amazing how hard losing a pet can be.
  5. Eldon, Mo. I was in NW Ar last Thursday.
  6. That is the way they behave when the charging system isn't working right and the battery voltage drops. Since yours started after you stopped it could be a bad connection also. Sounds like you need to go through that tedious diagnosis process again. By keeping the RPMs up you probably charged it up a little.
  7. This is what I was thinking too. I have seen hawks fly over highways while grasping a snake.
  8. The fly by night didn't put bigger jets in it did he?
  9. Freebird You are a bright guy and I have developed a lot of respect for you through the years but a higher wattage bulb is going to have less resistance. The funny part is that an old fashioned incandescent bulb changes resistance as it heats up. Very quickly but it changes. That is why when they get old they are more likely to burn out when you first flip the switch. At the temperature 100 watt bulb is going to operate at the resistance is 144 ohms. A 60 watt operates at 240 ohms. If you measure the resistance on a cold bulb the resistances will be much less. Of course all this doesn't help the original poster.
  10. There is no getting around Ohm's law. Peril of the internet. People that have never had an electronics class jumping in with misinformation. Thank you for trying to slow down the misinformation.
  11. I was so impressed with mine I bought another for my daughter.
  12. Loose connections can create resistance which can cause heat but they will cut amperage. Increased amperage is what causes the breaker to trip. If a connection has come completely loose to the point it creates a short that will increase the amperage and cause the breaker to trip.
  13. I got one of these a couple of weeks ago and also am impressed. Of course the next time I went to start my John Deere lawn tractor the battery was dead. It fired it right up. I am also going to try it for the cpap on my camping trip in a couple of weeks.
  14. Here is one of the best articles on the subject I have read. I hope it won't be a problem to post a link since it is a competing site. If it is against the rules somebody nuke it. http://www.venturers.org/Tech_Library/?action=article&cat_id=002007&id=400 Also I have seen a R/R pass the tests and actually be bad. If it fails it is definitely bad but not failing does not prove it is good. The manual says to test everything else and then decide it is the R/R if everything else passes. At over 100,000 miles I have been through this a couple of times in the last couple of years. The first time it was the R/R. The second time was the stator.

  16. My 2002 backfired on deceleration from the time it was new until the first time I synched the carbs. Now it has over 100,000 miles and backfiring has never been an issue again.
  17. When I said pretty similar I actually meant Western NE and Western KS. Didn't read the question close enough. All I know is they are way longer than I like getting to Colorado or Wyoming.
  18. I am going to be in St. Louis Sunday but it looks like it would be to late to check it out.
  19. Pretty similar I think.
  20. I would never consider a v-twin an improvement.
  21. Now that I think about it the Geos are actually Suzukis.
  22. If I wasn't planning to retire before I wear out my current vehicles I would get one of these when they become available. http://eliogenuine.eliomotors.com/?gclid=Cj0KEQjwrqieBRCln82Rgufz7I0BEiQAPNjAI56Eb9UIuthgeQQ3UrSObF3X9Bl2M_c4URSegHNIcM4aAlvG8P8HAQ I have a friend that teaches at a college about 60 miles away from were he lives. He has always driven Geos and has had good luck with them. I knew that he was having trouble keeping one since they are getting rare so I emailed him about this when I heard about it but he had found another Geo.
  23. I own a Yamaha and a Suzuki. Both leak a little oil. Of course both are fairly high mileage for the kind of bikes they are.
  24. If you wanted a really good meal you could go north on 65 to Ozark and eat at Lamberts. There is just 1 problem with Lamberts and that is that it is so popular there is often an hour wait to get in.
  25. Are most that have purchased a stator from Buckeye Performance satisfied?
