  1. It is a very good question. I do a lot of Triathlon and cycling race patrols and have noticed that when you turn the key off the flashers go off. I would love to do this alteration also.
  2. It was 32C in Winnipeg a couple weeks back while I was there to help me acclimatize. I enjoy the sun and warmth so hopefully there will be some pool side brews served up. I will be going out to buy a cup holder for the bike for the ride also to make it easier to keep hydrated on the ride.
  3. Make sure you check with local radio stations and media outlets as you travel across BC. There is a lot of forest fires burning in our Provence. You do not wish to ride into a heavily smoked out area. Ride safe and enjoy our beautiful all be it some what brown instead of green Provence.
  4. So this is when you are out on the road riding then correct? If so I would venture to say fuel pump. Just my guess.
  5. Stored for the winter
  6. I have had two Suzuki motorcycles including VStrom now and have been very happy with them. Friend that owns the dealership has only one complaint..... the never come back for repairs.
  7. It is some kinda harley kinda bike
  8. Last nights Bike night in Victoria BC..... raised $1300 for Napal Earth Quake relief. (me on right front) https://fbstatic-a.akamaihd.net/rsrc.php/v2/y4/r/-PAXP-deijE.gif
  9. First Gen the Metzer worked well for me.... were you unhappy with it?
  10. Not much got wet but the basement it self I have been drying that out and the stuff that did get wet spent the day in the sunshine. Unless you have big damage bills insurance is just a pain, between deductibles and possible rate increase for using it. The only time we ever used our home insurance was when one of the kids hit a pickup truck while on his skateboard and caused a few grand in damages. Yreka is maybe shaky right now. Nothing a tradesman hates more than having to call a tradesman into his home.... especially from the same trade but I did not have access to the equipment to do the work.
  11. I have been off for 10 days. Went cross country to watch our eldest Son receive his Masters Degree in Science. Brad is a Theoretical Physicist already working on his PhD. Fly out fly back all good. Woke up today feeling fuzzy but not warm about going back to work. Our son that lives with us was up having breakfast with us before he headed to his job as well. He went down stairs to get ready to leave, called up and said..... hey guys there is a problem here.... wet basement! Turned out the showers that Lori and I had had before breakfast all ended up in the down stairs bathroom. After calling 6 plumbing service companies I found one that would come out to clear it for us and scope the drain. Yup the piping is shot! Drain is running for now BUT..... we will have to dig up from the back side corner of our house to the city connection. The concrete side walk and driveway are going to need to be removed $$$$ :mo money: $$$$$ is all we can see right now.
  12. Puc.... I just cannot see you participating in a non - disruptive way. And God willing, it will be a long long time before we live in a world with out you disrupting it. Keep doing what you do Scott, you being you is what helps this family be what Don and Eileen have created.
  13. Changed my rear pads last night. Gotta do an oil change here before I go..... I have two rides to do locally before heading to Venture West so not sure how I will fit in the oil change but I must.
  14. Follow doctors orders and you will get better.... screw around and you can be grounded for life. Concussion is an other word for Brain Injury Please if you feel like reading go to http://biac-aclc.ca/ There is no such thing as a minor concussion sorry but it is all too close to my heart
  15. There is a Dodge hose that is a very close match to it. I know someone had posted some cross over numbers but i believe the V6 in my sons Caravan has this short curled hose. Anyone else recall this.
  16. I have always cut the old shield down to decide. What I had been taught and followed in the past was to sit in normal riding position.... hold your hand out to the shield at eye level and have a friend mark that height. That is your base height to cut. I used a corn flakes box in two pieces... traced the original top curve then lowered it down to my mark and trace it over. Use painters tape to protect below the line and cut with jig saw with fine blade. Block sand after cutting and if you are daring you can use a torch to heat the edge to make it shiny. easy peasy.
  17. The first day I had my new to me RSV I took the cd player out.... it is in the garage. Same thing... IPod versus CD player.
  18. If you need help with the Zombie attack let me know I can have the bus and some support and some support units dispatched.
  19. Tricia, good on you for finding a way not sitting back and letting the health issues win. About 12 yrs ago I was in bad shape and connected to the heart monitors at the local ER. After the deluge of tests and poking I was told I had to get my heart health under control as I was way too young to be having these issues if I wanted any type of future. Doctors told me they could use drugs to control my heart of we could try the health and diet plan. Over the next six months I dropped 75 lbs and my wife (Lori) managed to drop 97.... she could never drop that last 3 to make the 100. Our lives changed so very much. Lori and I run all our local 5 and 10 kilometer foot races now and last fall I did my first 1/2 Marathon. Enjoy it and live like you have never lived before. Kevin
  20. I do somewhat agree with this. I use my androids way more than I do a PC or Laptop. I have been battling the site since the change as well. Dont know about Istuff I don't own any. Tappa talk I believe wanted money to load so I said no. Hmmmmmm
  21. Word on Facebook is our own Brown Angel has been in a crash with his bike. Word is a lady ran a red and Angel hit her. Ankle injuries is all I know of at this point. If you feel the desire I am sure Angel will accept any prayer offerings. Likely his bike is totalled
  22. Everyone has their own special tire they love better than any other. I know I have had tires that others have disliked and I have had no issue with. One thing to remember is that most likely the tire that came from the factory on your bike was the most inexpensive tire that was available. I know my employer always purchases from the lowest bidder.... I do not know many companies these days that buy from the highest bidder. Go to a dealer you trust..... buy a tire that they trust..... and maintain it with air pressures that are printed on the tire.... not the ones in the owners manual. Like has been said keep the pressures slightly below maximum unless loaded or going on long rides. I find my rear tire can go up close to 5 PSI just doing a short highway run. Always test pressures when the tire is cold... ie the bike has sat overnight sorta idea Remember... tires are like oil..... you ask 10 people and you will get between 5 and 10 different answers to what is best. The best tire is a name brand newer the better and properly maintained and rated for the motorcycle you are riding.
  23. To all our friends living south of us..... Toque is what you folks refer to as a "Knitted Cap" And..... 30. Is simple .............. always take at least one umbrella per person in camping party :rain2:
