1,000,000 $ is nothing in this day. My wife has 10,000,000 on her van... she carries others children in the van. If the son takes the pretty blonde from down the road for a ride and something happens.... you bet her mom and dad are going to look for more than just a million.

Some houses sell for over assessed some sell for less. Mom paid 18,000 for her house in 1957 and it was assessed for taxes this year at 640,000. It would likely sell for 550 at best. My house is assessed at about 500,000 and if I wanted to sell it today I could get closer to 600. But then I would have to go buy the new one at 750 to replace it... and the new one would not have a yard. I am just glad I bought it 18 years ago when it was less than 1/2 the assessed price. My old house .... we sold for 100,000 more than we paid for it 7 years before. As a qualified tradesman I made a good living with many hours of overtime per year to help more... but the wife and kids can still spend it as fast as I can make it. :mo money:

Nice, but 24 yrs too late! Ooh and having a line backer and a defensive end as well as an extreeme sports nut and an army cadet living in the house with us.... my pay cheque did not cover the groceries so Thrifty Foods also holds the morgage on my house. :mo money::mo money::mo money: -

I have found over the years... I have 20 years in the heating industry.... that the polarity of the power will cause an issue with modern furnaces. Check polarity... ensure the gas is turned on. If you have a standard say 75,000 btu unit it will only pull maybe 6 amps 120V on full run. The rapid flashing of the LED is normally either ready to fire (heart beat flashing) or you have fried the main control.... back to the polarity thing. The rest of the start-up you describe is normal.... inducer fan on.... igniter on then the click should be the gas valve opening... some manufacturers get the blower fan to start and run for 30 seconds as well. Check gas manifold pressure... should be around 3.5" wc when gas valve opens. 3-5 seconds before going to flame failure lock-out. Turning power off then back on resets the control and it will restart the cycle. It is difficult from so far away but those are my best guesses from here. Kevin

Under the front left carb the "rubber" "intake manifold" seems to have a crack. This looks like it will be a very ugly switch. I have looked in the online manuals and parts fieshs I could find and it seems this part is not pictured. So what is it called and how do I get knew ones.... should I change all 4 if I am going to take all of it apart or is it repairable?

My son and I are going to help make History
kevin-vic-b.c. replied to GolfVenture's topic in Watering Hole
It would be a good year to bet on them. My sons' Midget football team finished 8th in our league for the season. Because of win loss records they ended up in the playoffs as the long shot. They won the league playoffs and went on to the BC provincials to play a team that was 10 wins no losses and we won! Sometimes a team comes together late is all. -
No, only thing I have found is "carfax" but I have found from running car vins in the past they do not tell you much

Nice job.... glad she gets her mothers looks.

I have been working and playing a lot with my 86 Venture and a few things have come to mind and I have questions to ask all the real smart folk here. Cuz I know you know the answers. 1.) Can I install a brighter headlight .... like one of these super brights I see in cars. If so anyone know what matches up from the auto parts store? 2.) The "drain" valve on the cooling system under the radiator is leaking a bit. Is there an O ring seal in there I can replace or do I need to find a new valve? 3.) I need a new reflector strip that goes across the trunk lid because mine has a patched hole in it and the DMV will not give me collectors plates unless I replace it with an intact one. Does anyone have one they could sell me? 4.) I had my carbs adjusted and the guy doing the work said they were all within "1 inch" he got them within 1 cm. He said that the 1 inch was within specs but WOW what a difference an inch makes. Seem right? 5.) The odometer on my bike reads 30,000 Kilometers(18,640 mi). When I bought the bike about 3 years ago it had 10,000 on it. I know I need to ride more, but the guy doing the valves said he thought it unlikely from what he saw that the bike has 130,000 on it. Is it possible I found a bike that old with so few kilometers on it? I got it from a dealer that had bought the dealership including the bike and he had no knowledge of it's history. I will ask more questions later as I think of them if you do not mind. thanks everyone in advance. Kevin

The progressive springs are my next purchase, I ordered a fork brace the other day. I wonder if I am able to disconnect the anti dive system electricly and keep the devises mounted on the forks. It may seem odd to some that I ask this but I am doing what I can to keep the bike "true" as a collector bike.

From a guy that lives on the Wet Coast.... I don't think there is such a thing. Buy the best you find in your shops one size big and wear some latex style gloves under them. The most water proof gloves I have are from the bicycle shop I use. But they would not have much protection for your hands if you did hit the ground. :rain2: I do have a good set of leather gloves and I use the protection cream from my boots on them and it keeps them water resistant but if it gets real wet.... nothing really works.

Who rides all year and how far north are you?
kevin-vic-b.c. replied to 1joeranger's topic in Watering Hole
I ride all year, ice and occasional snow is all that stops me. I am just below the 49th parallel on the Canadian West Coast. Kinda chilly the last few days hovering around the freezing point but you dress for what you have. Same with rain, the best part of having a 1st Gen is you do not get too much wind and rain on the rider. Oh is this where I can say.... 1st Gens Rule ! -
I like the looks and performance aspect of the BMW1600 though it may not be roomy enough though. I like the high tech they bring to the table. ...... ........ ......... I am not a big guy... my wife is a bit bigger... but the seat hight for her and the size... I don't think will work. I am not sure how a couple that may top over 200 each are going to fit on there. I am sure it is a quality machine and it seems by the video that it has all the toys the Venture may be lacking... but it seems kinda small from where I sit
