  1. I am heading down Friday morning Via Port Angeles.
  2. Wow guys, it has been a long time now since Brad did this for those that could not do it for themselves. Brad has been given awards by Brain Injury Association of Canada as well as several local Brain Injury Societies across Canada. Brad was hired by Investors Group Canada to give motivational talks to their employees, all the monies he was given went strait into the BrainStormRide.org charity. Brad is currently at Univercity of Manitoba working on his Masters Degree in Physics, he holds a BSc currently ( an Astrophysicist ) His work for brain injury awareness has brought groups across Canada, that never knew others existed, together to help the survivors and their care givers cope with life after a brain injurry. Are we proud... yes Lori and I are very proud of Brad and all 4 of our sons. Thank you Fuzzy and others for bringing this back up front to us.... Brain Injury Awareness is part of our lives now every day. We can never repay those that helped my sister so much, so we are paying it forward as much as we can. Remember: You look sexier in a Helmet PS: he is STILL working on the book!
  3. Welllll the other guys have all been very nice to you so I can step in now...... have you seen a Doctor instead of a Mechanic? Sorry cannot help you my 02 feels like it was made for you.
  4. I just added their 100 LED tail light to my 02..... wow what a difference.
  5. Nope he is smarter than you average dummy
  6. I would say that is a man with a long cold non riding season.... my bikes are never off the road long enough to do work like that! Nice work Prairiehammer.
  7. And I was shocked that it got to me so fast, if you don't have a Carbon-one Stand why the heck not! Sorry had to add that in here. Yes USPS is the only way to go.
  8. No auto scoots there.... those are 1600 cc BMW police bikes. Doing those courses on a 1st gen just killed my left hand and is murder on the arms and shoulders... End of June I get to find out how hard it will be on a 2nd gen.
  9. I rode the Stryker on "Demo Days" last year and enjoyed it, nothing bad to say about it.
  10. Coming to Victoria May 16 - 18.... think I may go see in person [ame] [/ame]
  11. :icon_lurker: I'm sellin the popcorn for this one. I will take the XXL bag and a diet Cola Please !
  12. I cleaned my cover with "brake cleaner" let it dry, put a bead of RTV silicone around it, set my gasket into that and let it set overnight. Next day installed the cover. It has been 3 years and has not leaked. I am pretty sure I got the procedure from here somewhere or from someone here. It would appear that that was how the gaskets had been installed in the past also.
  13. First I would like to say my wife's trainer is safe, we opened our local paper today... front page is full of photo and story and the first words in the story was Pam from Victoria... she is safe and has done an interview with our paper...... a relief. The words Terrorist Attack need to be used very carefully, the very first thing that happens when the incident is declared a Terrorist Attack is that every insurance company globally cancels every insurance policy that has been taken out for everyone there and trying to get medical aid, loss of work claims, rehab claims etc. Home grown Terrorists are as bad as the ones that come elsewhere. Victoria holds a Marathon every fall that is a "qualifier" for the Boston Marathon.
  14. some time the grain of the wood is not in the same flow as the rest of the wood. What often has to be done is a coat of sealer put on it then the wood will sand smooth.... this advise from a plumber who last took wood working in high school well before a Venture existed.
  15. I got that, same knob as 1st gen but well hidden, I need to do left to right, should have said that first time.
  16. Big Bro is here, he is a mechanic, he says leave it...... it is usually is made of a soft metal and will likely just rust away in time.
  17. Now I get to start asking the 2nd gen questions. I managed to sync the carbs with the fantastic tec forum here..... now I need to re-align the headlight... simple right.... how the heck do I remove the chrome ring? I removed the screw at the bottom but the ring stays in place and I dont want to break it but it dont seem to move.
  18. My wife's trainer is there running, we can find her 1/2 way time that if she held her pace would put her very close to the bombs time but no record of her finish...... yes we pray
  19. That is soooo boring! I say that but I do not have a smart phone.
  20. I saw the facebook rant as well, I had not been there in some time so missed the starter to the rant. I enjoy the entertainment value on the FB pages. I actually found a picture of me and my bike doing the cone course two up with Lori, surprised me to open a facebook page and see myself there. There is more than one page referring to Ventures and the others all seem good and most are also members here. This is the place with all the important stuff going on. and watching
  21. I just bought a 2002 Venture from a fellow who had owned it since 2004. He said he put the "new" Metzlers on it in 2004 when he bought it, I knew it would need tires, considered that in my offer. When I got it home and looked I found the tires were 2000 date code.... older than the bike! New Avon Venoms on it now with a 2012 date code.
  22. My IE has been screwy all day, the site would not load this morning, this aft there was no link now there is........
  23. Ok, where did the map link go???????????
  24. I think maybe 4-6 inches is all they were..... dont know how long you need sorry
