  1. I was out motorcycling......
  2. I think as long as there is any of that Sn:snow:w out there Tom is happy to be indoors.... but I do wish him well with that nasty flue.
  3. geez the differance a day makes...I was over yesterday and could hardley see the road from my V-Strom it was so foggy.... untill Abbostford. Was able to ride your new connector out to the ferry in the afternoon, I may have ridden it in the morning but I would not have known, that will be the new "Death Race 2014" to the ferry.... Oh and I put a plate on the Venture today... could not stand it any longer.
  4. Yup.... it is the battery on its way out the door..... and go ahead if need too...... ask how I knew the day before I went on my vacation ride last summer before I left home.... then I had to get a ferry off this rock :mo money: then there was the "cheap" Canadian fuel :mo money::mo money::mo money: OK I will stop now.
  5. Ain't this place great! :thumbsup2:
  6. the CD 100 LED was the first thing I bought for my 2nd gen.... it is the best way to go by far.
  7. that is info that I will save if it comes out.... good question.
  8. are you saying we are slow:confused:
  9. It is just you Rick. I am on XP and 7 on my equipment and although I have picked up a malware on my XP the site seems ok.
  10. I do totally agree with what you are saying here. I am unsure how on the Yamaha the main fuse would effect the 4way flashers but I know years ago when I lost my lights om my Nissan at a very dark place I thought to switch on the 4ways and that gave me enough light to guide me to a safe place to stop... very scarey moment tho. And yes my driving lights, they are LED, but are powered separate also.
  11. Naaa it is just drizzling:rain2:
  12. You have all of our rain, we are doing the driest winter on record in 100 years. Go figure.
  13. M6 booked.... see you there
  14. :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: I do love snow.... some anyway. We do not even have enough on our island to open the one ski resort so far this year. We did have this kind of weather back in 1996 where it got bitter cold for weeks, a couple feet of snow on the ground and then we had a Blizzard and dumped 4 feet on us over night.... then it started raining for 2 days.
  15. I'm going for a ride I will check for the photos later.
  16. ONLY 3 feet, that is good.... I think we might get frost again you know, this could be the 3rd night in a row. Rely I am glad everyone is safe and hope they stay that way. For those that get it I hope you post pictures because some of us wish we would get some once and awhile. Do you use studded snow tires out that way? We do have them here but not many of our Provinces permit the use of them.
  17. Earl, thoughts are with you and your family. As has been said ... by the grace of god you were with her. I know how life can change in the blink of an eye, my brother came home from work last month to find his wife on the floor with her head cracked open and a broken neck from the fall. It is still unknown why but she is a live. Had he been held up at his business for some reason or stuck in traffic, the outcome may have been different. Take care and we will all be thinking of you guys.
  18. Sorry but a bright sunshiney day here. Going to ride!
  19. I was looking forward to seeing you again Rick. I am crazy, I will be motoring over on the V-Strom.
  20. Go by the tire not the motorcycle, the motorcycle don't know what tire you have, and bet it is way different than the tire that came from the factory on the bike. Check the sidewall of the tire and pump it up to the pressure that Tire Manufacture recommends, what ever that may be. FYI the Fork Brace and the Progressive Springs will give you a completely new moto to ride. I consider them must-do items as these bikes age.
  21. It was all over facebook last week and it is still funny. Although I do have one cousin Damion, whose Harley does seem a bit quicker..... 6.3 second 1/4 mile
  22. was 9 when the first car I was wrenching drew blood... it was a lot of blood too. I am not telling how long ago that was but I have never heard of this either. I am a Plumber, Industrial Gas fitter, Power Engineer and a few other certificates I don't recall how I got and I cannot recall anyone ever mentioning this to me. Shopping time.... all those VWs I stripped screws on too.
  23. Also can you please define... air pressure is good for us.
  24. I like too! Do you have a link to them for purchase?
  25. Looks like you would need a big back yard for take-off. Landing looks shorter but still need a long driveway with no power lines around.
