  1. I know who this is..... the other Sea Dog....oldseadog aka Bill
  2. Very sad news ... she was pretty.
  3. In my last rider training I was doing so called panic stopping with just front brake on my 02, slight slippage but only just. The rear...oh yes it locks easy. Factors would be tires, pressures, track or road temp as well as tire temp. If they lock up maybe time for calliper service, new pads, fluid chage.
  4. you when to Alberta but not BC? huh you be shunned now ! ooh we is the pretty green Provence on the left when you look at the maps.
  5. :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: Mike I hope the doctors are able to find some answers quickly, I, like many have never met your dad but wish him and your family well.
  6. How many Kilometers is that? ooh and I don't have .02 as we have no pennies left
  7. To all my friends in the USA happy 4th of July. Today I celibate my 33 wedding anniversary as well as my wife Lori's birthday..... and no I am not saying what number that is... I know better. I hope you have a safe long weekend, I will be in Port Angeles Washington tomorrow with Lori riding up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park and enjoying the beautiful scenery of Washington State. Stay safe all..... Happy 4th.
  8. The big issue is to draw the line between East and West. From where I live there is WAY more east than West. I am not sure about the annexing as between all our natural resources the Republic of Western Canada could survive very well I think. :canada:
  9. I can show you how my ram system connects Clive. It is what I would recommend over the suction cup. I had suction cups on the last GPS but it shook to death. 1st gen will connect to the bike differently but similar to the gps. Try looking in here: http://www.gpscity.ca/ram-mount
  10. I bought that grill a few months back... it is what it appears to be. I put some window screen material on the back of it before I installed it. I do not know the quality of the stainless but it is a $50 grill. oh and did I mention it was a royal pain to install
  11. know the toll bridges in Vancouver do not see the RSV plate with lower light bar.
  12. it is only water.... ride.... the bike will not fade and you will not shrink. wear proper riding gear for the weather. a lady at the hotel on Sunday morning, cool with overcast skies said to me... aren't ya'll cold on them machines? I asked her if she wore a sweater when it was cold or just a tee shirt.... she just said....oh and walked away. did I mention I live in the middle of a rain forest area?
  13. My very first thought is adjust the bars, you are leaning too far forward. You should sit upright.. straight back and arms out comfortably and relaxed.
  14. well it is in Canada, I don't have to pay import feels.... I will go $100.
  15. Can you empty your PM inbox and I will send you a pm when I am out that way
  16. Ok next week is venture west so that cannot happen. One of my sons is living in Winterpeg going to UofW.
  17. how long will you be in Burnaby
  18. You can cut your own shield down very easily unless you wish to keep it for cooler riding days. Moved around by wind..... it is a big bike knocking a big hole in the air... it will move in the wind I believe it was someone here said it best... wind is like air... just pushier
  19. Notice no BMW either! Is it because those 2 have been installing alarms for a number of years now?
  20. The thread by Freebird is very good and very easy to follow. That being said... do not expect backfire to go away if it is carb or plug related. The AIS will or may make the issue worse but it is unlikely to fix the issue. Just my opinion after being there and chasing that. I am Canadian so cannot say it is my worth because we don't have pennies anymore so with inflation it has to be my nickels worth. Just saying
  21. I have never heard of this in the past so I do hope some of the long time 2nd gen guys step up to help with this.
  22. That is spectacular......one of the best parts of our cruise to Alaska was seeing the burgs as we reached the ice fields.
  23. wonderful idea... I would do my driveway..... if I did not have to remortgage the house to do it.
  24. White I guess is the going colour with the Red Maple Leaf. I would take an XL and prefer to just have venturerider.org on front... not the names. I know..... there is one in every crowd!
