  1. I believe if you push the button down to engage cruise, then push it up to res/acl and release it,that will solve that issue. I think that's how the manual says to do it and it works for me.-Jack
  2. I installed the RK pipes on my 07 over the weekend. Took it out last night. I didn't notice any power loss. I drilled the baffles before installing them. I think they are just about as loud as I would want on a touring bike. They definitely sound better at idle.-Jack
  3. She sounds like a remarkable women. My condolences for your loss.
  4. Are you sure it is latched all the way? Try pushing down on it and see if you can engage the latch fully. If it's not fully egaged it won't release. I had a tire gauge in the small compartment in the top and it kept the lid from closing all the way. I couldn't pull it open and the latch wouldn't work. I pushed down and the latch closed all the way. Then the button would operate the latch. Just a thought.-Jack
  5. I use the comagination headlight and brake light modulators.-Jack
  6. After riding 250 miles on the 4th I was convinced I needed mine replaced(07 Venture, 1600 mi). The whine was very noticable, tiring even. I rode into work this morning planning to leave early and stop by the Yam dealer and ask about it. I barely noticed any whine if any at all. I rode with a half helmet both times so that isn't a factor. I wonder if it isn't temperature sensitive as was already mentioned, it was in the 85-90 degree range wednesday. Has anyone noticed the noise to be intermitant? Sometimes very irritating other times barely noticable at all? Maybe I'll learn more this afternoon since the forcast is for temps in the 90's.
  7. I just installed the comagination headlight and brake light modulators on my 07 RSV. I already have them on the RSTC. They're the first upgrade I've installed. They're not idiot proof but they do increase visibility greatly. Next upgrade will be the Stebel air horn.
