Congrats on your new Zumo, you'll love it. Santa left your place and stopped by here and dropped off a set of Yamaha billet chrome passenger floorboards. WoooHoooo! Dennis

Now that I am back home, I checked the map and the small town we stayed just before returning to Grand Junction was Bicknell, UT. That is where the photo of the sherrifs car with the dummy in it was taken. I guess they can't afford a real sherrif. Dennis

We took 3 days to travel each way from Lexington to Grand Junction. Once we picked our wives up there we rode for 6 days through Utah. We stopped overnight at Moab, Lake Powel, Zion National park, Bryce Canyon and some town which I can't recall the name of and then returned to Grand Junction. After dropping the ladies at the airport there we hauled but back to KY. It was a great trip. Dennis

I know it's been a while, but I have finally uploaded several photos from our June trip to Utah. Several of my riding buddies and I rode from Central KY to Grand Junction, CO where we met our wives who flew out. From there we rode a 6 day loop through the Utah National parks while also taking in Monument Valley and Lake Powel. Here is the link to the photos: http://www.traynorphoto.com/utah/Utah/index Enjoy! Invest in a quality jacket. If you are riding in warm climates I like the Fieldsheer and Olympia mesh jackets with removable warm liner. Dennis

Do any of you have experience with the No-Mar tire changer? http://www.nomartirechanger.com/product/show/1 A couple of my riding buddies and I are thinking about investing in one together. Is there a better option? Dennis

Ron, I hope you have a very Merry Christmas however you celebrate. And, I hope that 2009 is better for all of us. I'm only about 75 miles south of you near Lexington so we'll need to get together and ride sometime. However, we might get our '07s confused. Dennis

Here are a few from our trip to Utah last June. These photos don't do me justice, I'm down about 45 lbs since then. Dennis

My wife and I stopped there on our way to CO a couple of years ago. I was expecting it to be one of the trip highlights. We were dissapointed. There are several chain hotels, Best Wester, Holiday Inn Express, etc. We really didn't find much there. It's OK to visit if it's on the way to a destination but I wouldn't make it my destination. DT

How This Big Old Top-heavy Bike May Have SAVED My LIFE
Midrsv replied to Aimhigh's topic in Watering Hole
Good timing. I'm in the process of drinking my second bottle of magnesium citrate in preperation for my colonoscopy tomorrow. I've been procrastinating the last 5 years on having it done. Ooops, gotta go.... DT -
You might check out Fieldsheer jackets. They seem to have the size. http://www.fieldsheer.com/site2009/IE/ladiesTX.htm I wear their jackets and really like them. Dennis

I believe I got all of the good out of these pads.
Midrsv replied to Midrsv's topic in Watering Hole
The line side pad was worn the least. From what I've read here the inside pad seems to consistently wear faster. Dennis -
Here is how I mounted mine. It is a Whelen light bar and I fabricated a bracket out of aluminum angle. I replaced the trunk mounting screws with longer ones that would protrude through the bottom to allow me to secure the bracket to it with nuts. Here are few photos. Dennis

Midrsv replied to Midrsv's topic in Watering Hole
No, I caught it just in time. I do a lot of city riding so I never get great mileage out of brakes. I think I swap the pads around after I get another 9k on them to try to even out the wear. Dennis -
I just replaced these rear pads after 18k miles. I believe I got my money's worth. Dennis

The main problem I have with the jacket is the fit for me. The sleeves are long on me and I've lost some weight so it doesn't fit quite right. I seem to run it on high all the time.

Does anyone have experience with the Tourmaster Synergy line of heated clothing? I have a Warm-n-Safe jacket liner and I am not totaly happy with it. I am seriously considering a Synergy jacket liner and gloves and I would like to hear from someone with first-hand experience. Once it gets into the low 30's my Warm-n-Safe jacket must be cranked up 100% and it puts a real load on the electrical system. I've read reviews that indicate the Synergy works fine on low or medium settings. Thanks, Dennis
