  1. These are called powerline adapters and they work very well.. I have used them in numerous locations.. They come in 3 speeds.. 250 500 and 1000. In most cases 500 is plenty for sharing internet and streaming etc but if you are transferring large files frequently between devices then go with the 1000 You can even put a switch (hub) at the receiving end to share with multiple devices in one location.
  2. If your second router is behind or plugged into a shared network port on the primary router then the ISP is only seeing the primary modem/router and anything behind that should be fine. If your second router is set up as an access point with the same SSID and password then your network in theory should be seamless and your devices should connect to the stronger signal. If you want a separate network for some reason then you can have a different SSID. In larger networks there is usually a smart or managed switch that will take care of switching between access points. If the second router is in an area that is getting a signal from the main router/modem then it could be set up as a repeater but some speed is lost in this scenario. The access point is a good idea.
  3. Eck: sorry but there is no Legal way to get Excel (part of Microsoft Office) for free unless you are a non profit organization like a church.. There are free versions of software that have the same functionality as Excel such as Open Office. The spreadsheet in Open Office is an excellent product and is compatible with Microsoft Excel so you can work with an excel file as well as save to an excel file. Here is a link to Open Office.. check it out.. https://www.openoffice.org/
  4. Thanks guys.. a diagram with pin outs would be helpfull.. I could get a mic rewired to work..
  5. is it possible to plug in a hand held CB mic? If it is where would I find such an animal?
  6. Thanks for the reply Dave but I'm looking for the rack UNDER the trunk.. although that does look like a nice unit
  7. Talk to Nancy at http://www.acehighleathers.com You can get pretty much anything you want made up.. she has templates for the RSV
  8. OK guys n gals. at one point my bike was taking a nap in a field and some very helpful individual stopped to help get her up on her feet again. What I didn't notice at the time is the helpful person was using the trunk to push the bike up.. I'm now looking for the rack that the trunk is bolted to. Does anyone have a parts bike with a good one..? I have found one on eBay but they think it's gold plated..
  9. Excellent bag specifically for the 1st gen venture. The straps hook to the false tank cover and the bag velcros to the straps.. Most tank bags are held on with magnets which won't work for the 1st gens without some modifictions.
  10. I've been with iPage for a few years and have had no problems but my use is very simple.. They are inexpensive. The one time I needed to contact them the experience was good. They support a few ways to build your site.. But like SilverT says GoDaddy has been around a long time with no issues I'm aware of..
  11. Wow Don.. Well said and right on. I could not agree more.. Sometimes the negative feedback is as important as the positive feedback as it may get you to rethink something that you hadn't thought of.. Anyhow love this place because of the fun and the honesty and the folks that actually believe in helping their neighbors..
  12. Oh and reboot after that.. sometimes this works if not we will keep trying
  13. The problem you are having is very common in Vista.. my least favorite OS to date.. except maybe millennium that runs a close second.. Anyhow in my experience with Vista you get lucky and it works otherwise you get it trying to figure out the network. Turn off ipv6. Step 1Click "Start | Control Panel | Network and Internet | Network and Sharing Center" and then select "Manage Network Connections," or click the Start button, type "ncpa.cpl" into the search field and press "Enter." Step 2Right-click "Local Area Connection" if on a wired network or connected to the modem; right-click "Wireless Network Connection" if connected via Wi-Fi. Step 3Select "Properties" from the context menu and then deselect "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)." Click "OK."
  14. This is what happens when you start riding a champagne skidoo on 3 wheels..
  15. Welcome to the FAMILY brother..

  17. You are very welcome.. we aim to please..

  19. Microsoft? Did they call you? Then tell you all about how screwed up your system is? SCAM? Did you call them? Where did you get the number? I hope you have nothing on your PC that has any personal or banking info..
  20. My guess is he is talking about this one. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/battery-tender-digital-voltage-meter
  21. I also installed the Ricks about 2 summers ago and it has been flawless since. I don't believe mine was the HO. To get it in I had to loosen the exhaust on that side to drop it a little to get it out of the way. Biggest challenge was finding the plug under the drivers seat that the darn thing plugs into.. Probably spent more time finding that plug than actually changing the stator
  22. yeah I run across that all the time.. for some reason the MM comes up as a different breed but rest assured the stator is the same as well as almost every part. Other than a few logos such as the hinges on the bags and the speedo as well as the small plaque on the trunk there is no real difference. The hinges and speedo (dash) are only different in that they actually say Millennium Edition
  23. That one looks like the one out of Quebec and I would NOT recommend it but it's hard to tell for sure because they are not saying what make it is. I would recommend the Rick's. I know I don't want to do it twice.. a bit of a job changing out the stator. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ricks-Electric-Stator-Yamaha-XVZ1300TF-1999-2004-XVZ1300TFM-2002-2005-/291362861124?hash=item43d6947044:g:C4IAAOSwm8VUwueN&vxp=mtr
  24. Dave: I sent you a PM. If you cannot find an MM grill then get one from any year.. and have it painted. Due to my Brother in Law dropping my MM into a plowed field last spring my big project this winter is to get all the scratched items repainted. The guy I have painting it has a pretty much perfect match for the Pearl White using the codes from this site. I could just throw your grill in with my stuff and I don't believe the cost would go up at all for such a small item.. Your cost would be shipping both ways plus whatever you paid for the grill Wayne
