    This is the one we use from Ram-Mounts. Have two of them. One for me and one for my navigator. Clamped mine to the rubber part where to two handlebar parts come together and clamped hers to the grab bars.     Bob you are right. I picked up a 2nd Gen starter for just this reason off Pinwall for $50 and it works fantastic. spins really fast no matter how hot my engine is.. Very happy with the results and bolts right on..

    Robin and I would be up for this.. We've been to Evan and Anne's and that isn't all that far from Sudbury. Also my inlaws are in the area as well. They also have some room. Closer yet to Charlie.. Anyhow this is starting to look like a Good idea..

    Ben: Would love to have you throw your hat into the ring.. Just a day thing down and back. I'm leaving my place at 7:30. Can meet anyone who wants to come at the Timmies in Fort Erie on Garrison just before the boarder and leave there at 9 am Weather so far looks like it is going to cooperate. Thomas: Why don't you meet us in Fort Erie at the Timmies. Another choice if any of you want to get an extra hour sleep would be to go directly to Pioneer Motor Sports.. 11 am The reason I'm leaving so early is to stay off the superslab and enjoy the ride. plus meeting up at Big Tom's to make it a longer adventure...

    Skydoc has a kit to de-link the brakes. I did that this past winter as well as changing to stainless braided lines. Much improved braking on my 84 now. He has everything you need to do this.

    Utopia has a great backrest for the 83. I have an 84 Blonde and they even got a good match for the two tone brown seat.. http://www.utpr.com/venture.html I also like that there are no bars going to the outside of the seat. The only problem I had was that you have to cut a hole in the seat for the bar to come through and cutting that hole in a perfectly good seat made me cringe.. :-)

    Just recently my friend (with an 86 wing) and I (with an 84 VR) had a father daughter day out on the scoots. The girls had a chance to switch bikes for awhile and afterwords I asked them which bike they preferred. BOTH of them felt the VR was more comfortable, rode smoother and shifted smoother etc.. Needless to say that made me very happy but my friend was not so happy...

    I agree with Rocket.. If you actually make it to the coast you should hit the island and do the ride across to Tofino.. amazing.. while on that trip across the island you should stop and visit Cathedral Grove. AND the ride from Vancouver up to Whistler along the Sea to Sky is great as well. Hope you two have an AWESOME time.. keep us informed as you go.. AND we want PICTURES!
