need new starter
Wizard765 replied to MRFUNKTASTIC's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I would replace your starter with one out of a 2nd generation venture or later model VMax. The ones out of the 2nd Gen Venture bolt right in and spin the engine faster. Pinwall Cycle has them all the time around $60. They are an eBay vendor. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Venture-Royal-Star-STARTER-STARTING-MOTOR-VIDEOS-/190579290057?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item2c5f692fc9 -

So I thought with this many people some of you may have an opinion on this. I've been looking to buy a tablet or eReader for my wife. At first I thought one of the new color ereaders would work but being in Canada it narrows it down to the Kobo Vox. The other choices I was looking at were true tablets. Now I have them narrowed down to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or iPad 2 and now the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. So which of these? or something else I have not seen? Any comments or thoughts? Sort of comes down to IOS vs Android..

sorry to hear about another one being taken apart. BUT if you have the left side vent beside the speaker I could use it. I lost mine while riding with the WNY gang to Spragues a little while ago.. -

Highway foot rests
Wizard765 replied to Trader's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I agree with the long horns.. I have them as well. Very adjustable to where you want them and look good too. I have them where I can put my whole foot on them OR just my heels OR go right over them and rest my ankles on them for a full stretch. With a backrest and this position it's like being in a rocker recliner... -
I don't have a 2nd Gen but if I did... NICE....

The Washcloth Ladies this has to be read, laughed at and passed on. There is not a woman alive today who won't crack up over this! I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week. Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have any time to spare. As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to make the full effort. So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash in 'that area' to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment. I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in. Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away. I was a little surprised when the doctor said, "My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven't we?" I didn't respond. After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest of the day was normal ... some shopping, cleaning, cooking, etc. After school when my 6 year old daughter was playing, she called out from the bathroom, "Mummy, where's my washcloth?" I told her to get another one from the cupboard. She replied, "No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it."

How about Pioneer BBQ? Around 6?

Sounds good to me Carl.. Where did you have in mind for supper? I can make that the end point and try to make it at a predetermined time
-
In this case (Carl get's us all worked up and bails on us) New plan is to meet at Wayne's house at 9.. I can come up with a route that includes some of what Carl had planned. The lake still sounds good with lunch in Talbotville.. What say you all?
-
We will be at your place by 9 then. The Lake sounds good to me. Lunch in Talbotville sounds great. BUT I'm open to riding ANYWHERE...
