  1. This was a few years ago but we went camping like this. Minivan pulling a small fiberglass camper with a sailboat behind it and a canoe on the roof of the Minivan as well as Bicycles on a rack behind the van.. quite a load. In this picture we are parked in front of a Tim Horton's coffee shop where an OPP is having a break.. Guess it's legal in Ontario..
  2. Thanks Abdul.. great shots.. I'm so happy SOMEONE brought a camera:cool10:
  3. Evan and Anne: This is so much fun.. almost like being there... hmmm no guess not. WISH WE WERE THERE? Yes.. enjoy..
  4. Yep Yep Yep All good... Great Day and good riding. Thanks Bob and Becky for hosting a great BBQ We are all blessed..
  5. Wow.. This is really sad news.. Prayers going out for him, his family and his friends.. God Bless..
  6. Two different problems. Speedo is mechanical. could be the cable or could be the head unit. Usually the head unit drys out and gets toasted. The brake and signal lights could be a fuse..
  7. Where is Paysaw in that list? Hey Ray are you coming ?
  8. a set off a 93 will fit but you need to make a bracket to bolt them to. I did that and am happy. Your 83 mufflers bolt up to the rear foot peg bracket and the 86 and up bolt up to a tab sticking out of the frame. You would most likely need a longer bolt for the frame member where you make up the bracket..
  9. Robin and I are coming.. weather permitting..
  10. Me Riding solo this week..
  11. Happy Birthday BEN.. Hope it's AMAZING...
  12. Scott: Sorry to hear about this.. If it is a retina problem I'd recommend seeing Dr Martin in Hamilton.. One of the best.. Very important to do this ASAP.. My daughter had symptoms similar to what you are saying and she had a retinal hole in one eye as well as a retinal detachment. He was able to fix both.. but it needs to be done soon. God Bless.. we will be praying for you.. Wayne
  13. Any 2nd gen starter will be a direct fit. it's 4 pole and pinwall usually has a few available on eBay around $50 to $60 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Venture-Royal-Star-1300-STARTER-STARTING-MOTOR-/130314969427?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e5760a153&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Venture-Royal-Star-STARTER-STARTING-MOTOR-/130376805195?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e5b102b4b&vxp=mtr There are a couple
  14. pushing the pin back in and bending the retainer back into place will get you by probably for the rest of the summer. Don't even have to drain the oil. Gotta take the clutch cover off and leave the bike on the side stand. You may even get lucky if you are careful and not hurt the gasket. (It worked for me). Behind the clutch basket at the bottom right you will see the culprit. A winter project would be to replace that unit. One from a V-Max in the early 2000s is a direct fit and is a cast piece instead of stamped metal so is a permanent fix. The hard part for me was breaking the screw in the middle free. It has loctite on it. Make sure you have a good fit with your screw driver tip and I had to use an impact wrench with some heat to get it free.
  15. Welcome back but I can't figure out why you left in the first place....
  16. Yeah That... If you use a MKII chin you need the crash bars. If you can find a chrome one for the MKI then you can keep your crash bars.. Finding a set of good crash bars can be intimidating.. IF you can find them though I believe it is worth it..
  17. Robin and I are up for a ride tonight
  18. Once I have all the parts in hand I will document and photograph the procedure. I hope to be able to list things item by item. I've had the fairings off many times so the only really hard part is being sure I have everything before I start pulling it apart.
  19. Jim: That might work better. You are close enough for me to come and get them..
  20. Evan (& Anne): WE are watching and reading.. Enjoy your trip... Sounds AWESOME!!
  21. So I've looked but I'm not finding this info. I want to convert my MKI over to a MKII headlight. Got the headlight and adjuster from Dano and he still has the donor bike. What else do I need to get from him to make this work? I believe he is missing the front chrome trim and the tabs that hold it on. Do I need that as well as the frame or basket or whatever you call it behind the headlight?
  22. Annie and Allan: Hope you get a good nights sleep and try to get over jet lag. Welcome Back!! See you at Don's
  23. If they can make a pocket size LED flashlight this good we should be able to get a really good reasonably priced LED headlight at some point or hwy lights that actually light up the road.. http://www.supertorch.eu/en/
  24. Looks like it might even be a degree or two cooler.. usually a scorcher..
  25. Hey Bob: We try to make it a "regular" thing.. usually depends on weather..
