  6. :cool10:Hey Bob: I think you need glasses.. The Venture INN is on the 24th.. been there for awhile now..
  7. Thanks Abdul.. I'll most likely take you up on that
  8. Hey guys : thanks for the help.. the plug is more or less under the seat and I have to dismantle some stuff to get to it and the regulator is front right lower fairing.. Gonna be having a look see as soon as I get a little time. I'm in I.T. and with XP support being axed I'm extremely busy right now..
  9. Ok need some help here.. My new to me MM is not charging. When I put test leads across the battery it reads 12.5 at any rpm. My guess is it just reading what is in the battery. If this was a 1st Gen I would know where to look. On this one I don't even know where the 3 wire plug is or where the regulator is.. Where do I start? Is the stator the same as a 1st Gen MkII? I have a new one of those sitting here. Will the shendin regulator for a 1st gen work.? I also have a new one of those.. That is if I need any of them.. maybe (I hope) the plug is no good.. easy fix just don't know where it is.. Help Please
  10. Useless? Maybe but Fascinating YES!! Wow never thought of that
  11. I'm guessing THAT would take some PRACTICE! Wow
  12. They have them here at that price
  13. Yeah THAT.. I have a Garmin Zumo 660 as well and really like it.. If you want XM radio as well then the 665 will do the trick. These are designed specifically for Motorcycles. They are bright enough to read in direct sunlight as well as vibration resistant and waterproof. Mine came with both a motorcycle cradle and a car cradle. It is smart enough to know which cradle it is in so it's like having two units. I can set up and personalize it for each place.
  14. Carbon One actually makes braces to beef up the roll bars
  15. Hey Kevin: Hope you have an AMAZING day!!!!
  16. i always wrap the strap around the bottom of the triple tree and then to a ring in front and to the side of the bike.. Then when I'm ready to go I will ratchet the strap till the forks are about half way compressed.. has worked fine for me whenever I've trailered either a 1st or 2nd gen.
  17. Ben: Yup it's time now...
  18. Mike: I'm actually going from an 84 to the 2nd gen so the bags are MUCH bigger.. I do have an 87 I'm rebuilding and was intending to move over to that this summer but I really do like the MM RSV and Abdul made me a good deal.. Thank you ABDUL Wayne
  19. LOL That trip was fantastic and I enjoyed the ride with you and the rest of the guys. The Road Glide was a nice handling bike and looked good as well. I think the 2nd gen is more comfortable and I am totally sold on shaft drive as well as liquid cooling.. not to mention dependability..
  20. So there is a long story but I'm not going into it here yet.. track me down at an M&E and I'll try to explain .. But I've made a deal with Abdul (Chabicheka) for his MM RSV. My 84 will be up for sale in the spring along with an 87 that I'm rebuilding... Looking forward to the extra space. Starting to get somewhat excited BUT also feeling a little like a traitor... Anyhow it's a very nice well maintained bike and when I actually take possession I'll post some pics.. 2nd Gen here I come....
  21. So I've looked and looked and cannot find anywhere that someone has mentioned Which Harley tail lights fit the RSV.. doing a search on eBay for harley tail lights comes up with a few million hits and so far nothing comes close to what you guys have on the back of your scoots.. HELP PLEASE..
  22. Bob: As long as the carb extender fits the RSV then put me down for those and put me down for the lock bezel's as well please.. Wayne
  23. The only way I can think of someone on here having those is if they had them on and triked the bike.. The ones I see on eBay don't seem to have the reflectors unless I'm just missing that..
  24. Yeah but that is pretty much NORMAL for the wet coast except for a couple of weeks in the summer....
  25. freezing rain here this morning
