Thanks Mike: It turns out you were right and the stuff peels off with some heat.. Not easily but does come off. Under it the paint is flawless.. Wish I'd known that BEFORE I tried to sand it.. so one side will not need paint but I still need to paint the side I tried sanding.. OH WELL.. Live and learn.. Always an experience.. BUT at least I'm all pumped now because I CAN actually fix the unsightly mess it was in..

do they come in whitewall?

Yes Larry's bracket puts it where the original was and comes with the relay and wiring etc.. nice work. Slowroll also makes one that puts it behind the passenger foot rests. Also very nice work..

Well I bought an MM edition last year and on the lower fairings it looks like the clear coat is starting to peel so i took those pieces to my painter and he says it is not the clear coat but some sort of protective coating.. He thinks it is stick on and not painted on. Cannot be sanded off and resists grinding.. not sure what it is or how to get rid of it.. Was thinking maybe heat and peel it off.. either way it is unsightly and was wondering if you folks might have a suggestion.. Is this a factory application? If not my best solution might be to look for lowers and paint them...

So the Navigator and I dropped in on Dover for awhile in the afternoon with another couple. Took a cage but still had a good time. There were way more bikes than I expected to see. Got a T shirt and had dinner at the Erie Beach. Seen one RSVM that I didn't recognize. All in all a good day for us.. BUT there was an accident just north of Hagersville where someone in a cage turned into a bike heading to Dover. Guy was airlifted to Hospital and at the moment is in critical condition but still hanging on.. Hate to see these.. Phil we didn't get there till around 2:00. Didn't see you or your scoot..

With the old site I had it set up so that when I brought it up (I was logged on automatically same as now) ALL the posts from ALL the forums showed up from the newest to the oldest and they would be greyed out if I'd read them and if nothing new was added but they would still be there. I think the only forum that was missing was the welcome to the site part. As well as that it also had a column on the left side that showed a list of my friends and I could tell if anyone was online or not and PM them if I felt like it. Now it is much more difficult to find my friends AND if I choose to look at "whats new" I get a list of threads but if I already read them they are hidden.. Wonder if there is a way to get these two things working with the new site?

I just posted to BOTH threads and then closed my browser. Then reopened my browser and went to "New Posts" I can see THIS thread with me as the last poster BUT CANNOT see the M&E thread at all

Carl I just posted to the Kitchener M&E Thread.. don't respond from your email and see if it shows up. You might have to reload your browser.

Poll time: Do you like or dislike loud pipes? COME ONE - COME ALL!!
Wizard765 replied to cowpuc's topic in Watering Hole
Hey Puc You left this one out for a choice.. I like to know it sounds like a bike but I don't want it loud enough to bother anyone including me. Like Skid I want to be able to hear my navigator and the tunes but I like a little rumble when I get on it.. -
I'm going to add my support for the zumo. I also have the 660 as I don't need satellite radio. The 665 has that. Water/rain proof, vibration proof, bright enough to see even in sunlight, comes with both a motorcycle AND car cradle. smart enough to know which cradle it is in. like getting two units for the price of one.. You can set up avoidance's etc. for the motorcycle and different ones for the car. I use software on my PC to plan a route and upload it to the GPS. I can also share that route with whoever is riding with me if they have a Garmin that accepts routes. There is a new model Zumo 390LM that also adds winding roads as a choice in how to get to your destination. All the zumos are glove friendly and come with the wiring to wire directly into the bike. Including the power and audio connection to the aux for the radio. If you get a buddyrich cable you can use your phone through the system as well. You can add a micro SD card full of music and listen through the onboard system as well. It will dim the music to give you directions. You can also put photos on the card and view them on the screen. Anyhow lots of reasons we like the zumos.. yes they are expensive.. That new one is just around $700

I always rode with mine attached BUT I removed to clean or maintain the bike.. made this much easier.. Cleaning behind those bags is so easy when you can remove them..

I have not tried that particular product. What I use on my iPhone is the TomTom app and I am very impressed. Accurate routing and turn by turn directions with street names etc. Maps are loaded to the phone so you can still use it without data. They stay on top of updates and my favourite feature is I can choose Windiest Roads to get to a destination..

Does her work PC belong to her or to a company she is working for? If it is hers then network access can be set up that is dependable and will work like you want without buying anything. If it is a company PC then is most likely has security that will make this more difficult.

Have an AMAZING day Larry!

Thanks Don: For some reason I thought MY Photo Albums would be in my profile and couldn't think outside of that box.. Makes sense where they are and I just needed a nudge in that direction
-
I'm starting to feel a little slow here. Trying to edit MY photo albums and what's in them as well as maybe add something etc.. Cannot figure this out.. What am I doing wrong?
-
My guess is that your computer is infected. If you are using windows I would scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware for starters and see it it's better.. Do you have a good antivirus?

Carl I have JM headsets but they have a 5 pin connection and I believe you need a 6 pin connection. IF you have the adapter then I can bring over my helmet for you to play with..
