  1. REALLY glad to hear that Curtis. Gonna have to come up with a nic-name for you now! I sure do look forward to the next time we lay eyes on 'ya and can ride together!:banana:
  2. Yea, he FINALLY got a fast one in that garage, I see the red one sneaking around in there! I wonder if he got that Harley stain off the driveway yet??????
  3. There was a kit flying around here somewhere, I believe BuddyRich is the original owner. There are shims in the kit, but as I found out, it won't have the ones you need! Partshark.com (Flatout) has the shims for $8.98. Thats about 4 bucks more than I paid last year! If you are not sure of your capabilities in this, the money sounds like a good deal! Dan
  4. Quit playing with this girl who has devastated your life. That money she owes you will gain interest while she is incarcerated if the judge sets it up that way. She needs to learn to grow up and face what she herself has created. You have taken the high ground with this, and will, I'm sure, continue this way. You now need to concentrate on the new lady in your life and treat this past one only as business. Good luck and God speed, Dan
  5. He's the good-lookin' one in back!
  6. Who me? Offended? Only if you don't invite me along!!!!!! Whad'ya mean, Vern! PS Hey Charlie..... you mean that "extra fuel in case you run out" made it all the way back home?!
  7. So, has he attached a Cobra jet motor to that bicycle yet? Inquiring minds want to know?!!!!!! glad to hear he got his tools, like a fish out of water without your playtoys! Maybe he needs to get with that Afghani motorcycle police patrol and soup 'em up a little!
  8. Hey Bob, we'll probably be going to Saturday nites bike night downtown, little tight right now to go to the race (unless Chris @ Flatout/Partshark comes up with some freebies!). All this Rally and M&E stuff tends to wear down the bank account! You and Ruth are more than welcome to come down and join us downtown Saturday night, maybe we can get a Venture area going! Gonna have to get some of those cards that Dray had made up!
  9. He's only got 2-1/4 more years to go then!
  10. Good to hear you made it safe and sound Charlie. We were in and out of the drizzlies till we hit I69, then cloudy and cool. Got in about 7 or so. It was a privalige to finally meet and talk with you. Told my son about you and where you live, says he would like to come up and do some ice fishin' with ya sometime! Probably be wise for him to wait till hes 21 tho, eh?!
  11. I would have to differ with some of the thinking here. Just got back from the MI M&E. 386 miles each way. In dry conditions with wind, I was getting same mileage (2 up with bags full) no difference of the speed. But it does seem that about 80 mph, air is flowing smoother over the bike, as buffeting decreases from 78 on up. Nav notices it too. Of course this is in free air, no traffic in front or beside. I'm running a K&N air filter with the Mac mufflers I just put on last week. Wonder if the shape of the airfoil (fairing) has a lot to do with this? After all, the U-71 and the Blackbird were designed this way!
  12. Yep! You just found the easy way to do things! Tear it all the way down and start over! But,,,,,,,,,,,, you're supposed to do this over the winter!!!!!! Dan
  13. Good to hear progress is being made, it's always painfull when you start using it fully again. Sounds like the paperwork is going to be harder than getting back to your regular job! Got a very good friend of mine who does the same thing for a local county jail. He's had guys (cons AND jailers) work against him before, just 'cause he follows the rules! I know your job isn't easy and a lot of thankless days. But just keep thinkin' each day there puts you one more closer to walkin' out that door forever!
  14. I had added this thread just so guys could check the list. Under the "Indian re/rec group buy" thread, the full list is now pasted to the post so everyone can see it. I'm not at home right now to do anything with it, I think we've had a couple more people join in, so I will be going over all of that Sunday night when I get home. Thanks Don for moving it. Dan
  15. I can still add u if you want, big guy!
  16. Hey Rocket, check right under the pricing where my paypal addy is.......... threw you some props too!
  17. I would imagine with the right engineering and a good look at it, it can be done. However, I've not got a 2nd gen around me (whoa down I think that one I was riding with earlier today finally caught up ). Let me take a gander at one and we'll see. Maybe someone on here who has one has already thought of a way to do it......... I'll know by Sunday night Dan
  18. You beat me to it, Jack. Forgot to post that in the thread. Gonna go edit it again! D**n this is a lotta work!

  21. OK, I think I have the final numbers now. We will be purchasing 54 total units, Shindegan part # FH012AA from Indian Motorcycle for $32.00 US each. Everybody who ordered multiple units will have to let me know if they need multiple connectors. i am assuming for right now that they will. So- 1 unit = 1 connector kit included. Here we go: US purchase and ship to: 1-FH012AA reg/rec $32.00 1-complete conn. kit $8.12 1- inbound freight $1.08 1- USPS shipping $4.95 1-paypal fee $1.50 Total US $47.65 per unit Canadian Purchase and ship to: 1-FH012AA reg/ rec $35.05 Cn 1-connector kit $8.89 Cn 1- inbound freight $1.18 Cn 1- USPS shipping $10.95 Cn 1-paypal fee $1.64 Cn Total Canadian $57.71 Paypal addy is : danob11@comcast.net (thanks Rocket & Jack!) I believe I have it all covered here, let me know if I've screwed up! Remember, you need to deduct for connector kits if you ordered multiple units and only need a couple of connector kits! Lets try to have all the paypals done by Monday night, so we can get this order in. If you HAVE to snail mail your payment to me, it will slow down the process, as I cannot afford to front the money to get this order going. You may hit me with the questions now (). I expect 2-3 days after the order is sent for the units to arrive, same for connectors. Will take a couple of days to process everything to ship back out. Please bear with me, as I gotta try and work during the day, too! Dan
  22. There's actually less parts NOT available for these bikes than IS available. I would encourage you to check out the Indian reg/rec group buy thread we have going. The original rectifiers/regulators are OK, but the new ones allow more power thruput at lower RPMs. Useful if you're running extra lights and stuff, especially sitting at the light. Most everything else is pretty bullet-proof like Squid says. Dan
