  1. Yep, somebody else believes the truth out there!
  2. Nice wheelchair bike there Carl,,,,,Rose brought that same "3-wheeled" question up to me,,,,still not ready to carry her on the RSV yet, I'm thinkin' a refresher on the IT400 dirt bike will help it come back sooner (such hard work !!)... I'm sure Marca will be able to sleep better now when you're both out riding.....
  3. You have it much easier than I did when a 250-300 pound 8 point buck tried takin' me out 2-1/2 yrs ago! I'm still here and he's not, but I'm still getting back to where I was! Good luck getting the bike back together, I just replaced mine because it was possible the frame was hurt when I hit him and gave him a 75' ride down the road! Of course I spent 23 days in ICU and same time in rehab hospital.....
  4. Change the side panels, stick an early 83 V4 in there, then you would see a futuristic 1st Gen! THAT would be Alans!
  5. That trailer is in my back yard now, courtesy of Condor a couple of years ago.
  6. Happy Birthday (belatedly!) Lowell, glad we got to meet, shoot some sh*t and ride together back in the day! Would like to see you again in that convertible you've re-named "Venture"! Remember that from Cody??!
  7. I just had to go to 7 from XP,,,,, I like XP much better! (Simplified guy, no huge tech crap needed!)
  8. Happy Birthday to the guy who brought me into this Venture world 7& years ago!
  9. Same here Bongo, we sent the rain AND the cold up to ya!
  10. Welcome to the club, been here for about 6+ years. You'll love the bike for darn near all types of riding, especially all day! If you have a better half on the back, get them some arm rests & highway pegs to make them feel "safer" along the way. There are different windscreens, air foils, etc. to help with the air flow around ya, learn here about the preventative maintenance you ned to learn. Oh yeah, come off that $12 and join the site!
  11. Keep repeating myself on this one,,,,
  12. Same here. I know I got more head slaps on the 1st Gen than I have on the 2nd Gen.... Maybe that's just because it's what they're built for, sport or cruise touring... ....

    Why?

WHY.....is mostly a statement spoken between an expert and a dumba** on how they accomplished something.....
  14. OR you could just get the butt-splices that are complete with shrink-tube already on them, just crimp and shrink, you're done then..... And use a heat gun or hair dryer to shrink, not a torch or lighter! Much easier and won't burn your other components around it..... Coming from a Master electrician with just 40 yrs in the biz.....
  15. Wow, didn't you just have one Kevin??? You're trying to catch up with all of us older guys!!!:backinmyday:
  16. Same here Jeff, Happy Birthday to ya! Now with the discounts you can get some more chrome for the bike!
  17. Ahhh Dan, you're just getting over the "first time on a 2nd gen pullin' out the garage onto gravel for a quarter mile"! Been there done that myself, still gettin' over some left over "damage" from giving that 8 point buck a ride down the road a couple of years ago! Back to full time work and thinkin', just haven't got that "18 hours a day" workin' time down yet! You'll get there on it Yammer, just listen to your brain! Oh yeah, mine's still out in the shed.........
  18. Sunshine is out, snow is gone,,,,,,,,,, But temps are still in the 30's!!!!!!
  19. If'n you wanna go a bit more..... I've got a VMax carb mount that'll tie your front and back cylinders together, gives 'er more gas across the spectrum to help that front wheel come up. $50 and it's yours.....
  20. Ah, he's tired out from waitin' so long to do it,,,,,,he's asleep in the recliner at the computer....

    Why?

Why is it a FULL moon directly overhead at Midnight tonite??? WHY?
  22. Huh, mine's out in the shed or I'd have already had my first ride in.... Son Nic put his and mine out there last fall so's his Camaro would fit in the garage to work on over the winter....it went back outside minus motor just before the first snow hit this winter, STILL too wet to get them out!
  23. Prayers up! Snow has been thru here, spotty alot but cleared off quick...
  24. I'm kinda interested in that too, loved all the gizmo readouts on the 1st gen....
  25. Depends if you jack the jeep up to get under it or not! They may not raise high enough, but it's easy to put some cut 4x4's or other "height enhancing" devices up on it to help.....
