  1. Hey Gary, at least it was a productive night! Glad you and Ron had a great nite, Peg. Saw him and Mellencamp at the LiveAid here in Indy in 88, private party the night before.
  2. No, You're supposed to bring it (down here, that is!). I guess you'll finally get down to Houston about January, huh?! THAT'S what the tick tock was for!

  7. Hey Kevin, I can always go downtown to "talk" with someone if need be. Guy that lives across the street from me runs the state owned hotels in the parks system. Might be made an ally, I can talk with him this weekend if you want. (Even tho nobody asked me to join, I guess I ain't good enuff for ya'll:o)
  8. Well Dan, don't you have a good 2" trim roller around there? Is this helpfull enuff for ya Peg?
  9. Yeah, nice bike, but did you make straight pipes for it yet???!!!!!
  10. If you don't mind us asking, what was wrong with the old ones?
  11. So, inquiring minds want to know-------HOW MUCH $$$$$$$$!!!!!!! Yammer wants to know, to break it to the Warden!
  12. If the side bags look tilted at the bottom, low in front high in back, rather angular, then its 83-85. They also have handles on the top of them. 86 and up are more rectangular and square on the bike. That helps if you're running down the road. Also, the trunk on the 83-84 has a single pad with no armrest bumps coming out. 85 and up had a separate rectangular pad in the middle that sticks up 3-4"s above the trunk. Hope that helps
  13. I actually handled that quite easy. First time introduction to the boy, I would shake his hand (firmly), look at my daughter and say....... "So, do I kick his a$$ now or later?" Never had ANY trouble!!!!!!
  14. Been' drivin it since January, gettin' ready to drop a 350 4 bolt in there. Done wore out the 305 (yeah, #8 connecting rod knockin' don't help none!)
  15. I'll take the TCI if its available at a fair price. PM me. Just asking, what do you want for the rear luggage complete with mounting hardware? Just toying with an idea here.
  16. I would go with the stopped up tube theory. You could open up the air box and visually check that the butterfly on #2 is closed. If the piston is in there and it's going up and down and the valves are opening and closing (doesn't need to be all the way, but it helps!) then you should be getting some kind of reading on the synch tool. Try a different channel on the tool just to rule that out. You are measuring the vacuum created by the air rushing past the tube that you hookup to. This is created by the vacuum the piston creates when it moves downward. Ergo, even if both intake and exhaust valves are completely open, you should still get some kind of reading there. Just my wandering thoughts, Dano
  17. Gonna need a long rope to reach the garage then.......
  18. Whew! Glad I read it the whole way thru! Does Dale have anything to say about it?!!!! Tremendous news! Not for him of course, but who cares!
  19. Don will have Eileen tied to his side next year.............
  20. Jeff, what can I say.
  21. You better move pretty soon there, big boy. That trash they're spreading around is starting to affect you! Did you never notice the colors of Nics Camaro?
  22. Hmmmm, LilBeaver, there is PROBABLY more than one "friggin Buckeye" around here (German Village/ Col's. OH, myself). We may be quiet, but you better watch out for that "3 Yards and a cloud of dust" that can come off our boots at anytime!!!! PS GO BUCKS

    Air??

Talking about air, isn't it about time to change to "fall" air in our tires? It's coming up on Tuesday!!!!!
  24. Climbed on the trusty 2nd gen garden tractor about 4:30 today in a light mist, followed the circuitous route around the yard (via on-board GPS) with the mowing attachment working. Managed to miss most of the heavy rain, pulled into the shed after clean-up just as it started raining harder. That'll be the most of my riding till Weds. or Thurs. Hope that comes close to everyone else! Sybil
  25. I had a 96 that went south, as soon as I replaced the motor (Good reputable junk yard- 300 bucks) the tranny started going. Couldn't get away from that car fast enuff. JMHO Dan
