  1. I sure wish we could make it up there, as the 2nd is not only our 28th anniversary, my wifes mom & dad's anniversary, it's my 57th birthday also! It sounds like a great time camping coming up, nice planning!
  2. You can have a couple slices of cake for me Tom, I'm still lookin' to put a few pounds on!
  3. Yep, the wife loves them as she can move her feet around now. They also dress up the side just a bit.....
  4. Way to go, it's nice to see those like you complete such a task and ask the correct questions.
  5. Yep. Bet you won't pull the front wheel up when you get Big Red back out on the road.... I used to pull mine up when the back seat wasn't with me....and take the head slap when I did it with her on
  6. I've got a set of coils still mounted to their rack, only 26,000 miles on them but they're from an 86 that is dismantled now. I'd take $75 (includes shipping) for them if you need them. 317-370-0139 cell Call me first thing in the morning and I'll get them out tomorrow for ya
  7. Oh boy, here we go wid'de Wingers now,,,,,
  8. SOMEbody beat me to the punch (ouch!) on these, was thinkin' about my perty quiet 08..... Oh well, another pair MAY come along sometime... (feeling bad yet Condor???)
  9. Have a good time with your offspring and devoted other, you KNOW this time will go slow till they get here then pass rather quickly! Make sure he knows that you are rather envious of all the traveling they're doing!
  10. Glad you're OK Rick, I know all about it as my 50 year 50,000 mile checkup was darn near 3 years ago and I'm JUST getting back to where I was.....
  11. We went to the IR down in N Arkansas a few years ago and it was tremendous. 4 of us rode down to Little Rock and back, it was a beautiful ride. That'd be a good Friday for ya. Oh yea, catch a ride on the ferry a bit southeast of Bronson. Go down or come back via the ferry and you can catch northern Arkansas/southern Missouri a bit out of the way...
  12. Good to keep up on your body's maintenance just like the bike,,,,,, Got my 50,000 mile body checkup darn near 3 years ago...... Oh yeah, sumthin' else happened to make me get it.......
  13. I've got an 86 rear end and shaft with only 26,000 miles on it.....ready to go for another 140,000.....let me know what you'd give for it plus shipping....
  14. Oh yeah, wish I had that problem today!
  15. Go across the new bridge into Kaintucky down in Madison In, nice ride down to I-71 that'll take you over to Louisville or just keep meandering around..... I LOVE dat road in Kaintucky after you go over the Ohio river!! Just my thought for a GOOD ride down thair in yur country!
  16. I would check the wiring behind the headlight, more than likely a bad ground where those two devices enter the wiring harness
  17. Basically you just send me that removed rotor from the left side of your crank (that PITA you had to get off after you removed the left side cover,,,,), keep the 72th gear for future throwing usage(if needed on someone/thing!) leaving the existing starter clutch on the backside of it because I need that little washer that's inbetween the clutch and the rotor. Oh yeah along with a check or paypal for $325 and you'll receive back a complete-never to wear out-1700cc bored-out VMax proven (for how many years now Squeeze?!) starter clutch mounted on your rotor. You put it in a medium-size USPS flat-rate Priority Mail box, it'll cost $13 only that way to ship it to me and I pay the same to ship it back to ya. You don't need the extra $15 for the gasket kit I offer with it because you're gonna need the complete gasket kit for your motor..... If you sent it today, I'd have it back to ya before you're ready to put that motor back in the bike! Dingy and Flyinfool will tell you how good a deal it is to do whilst it's apart, like Squeeze said.....
  18. Happy Birthday Kat! Hope you have many more!

    New to me

Ah, another one has concluded that the '08 RSV S model is the best and safest to ride.... Especially after learnin' that I'm STILL here after taking out an 8 point buck when hitting it with mine!! AND replacing it with another of the same year and model!
  20. Hmmm, lemme see, how about Marca's new safe ride!
  21. Venturous did a great job describing what it takes in your own garage, just like I did it a few years ago. Once it's undercut, you'll never pop out of a gear again!
  22. Great to see you two taking the CORRECT amount of time to enjoy a great cruise (riding and "seaing") up to the NW corner of the country,,,,sure wish Rose and I could join you guys! Have a safe and enjoyable ride!
  23. Same here Gary,,,Happy Birthday ya Ol' ToothSnagger
  24. I can't cry about Progressive, they took care of me on my bike 2 yrs ago, the guy waited until I could meet and talk with him to settle, he wrote me a check for everything I lost that day, no matter what it was!
  25. When I fixed the tranny on my 84 (LONGGG time ago...) I undercut the 3 side teeth on 5th gear and same on the 6 slots on the second gear, makes those suckers pull in under power rather than trying to stay there with only 3mm of contact the way they built them! Oh yeah, replace that washer and the split-clips on the output shaft of the tranny at the outside of the middle gear! It's easy to see when you pull the middle gear cover off, put you gotta split the gears off the shaft to be able to do it! That's OK, you gotta do that to undercut the gears anyway! Good luck!
