  1. If your gaskets (where the rear downtubes meet the stubs off the rear head) are thin, you can take one wrap of #10 solid copper wire around the pipe next to the gasket and it'll help seal it up. All it's doing is taking the place of the gasket material thats not there. I don't think it'll work without a gasket in there, of course it will take more turns to replace the missing material. Worth a try, tho. Good luck
  2. Got them beat by a year, here's my mom last Memorial Day weekend...
  3. I KNEW you guys would regret gettin' Squidley to move down there!
  4. Probably still good, relocate to the air box, put some di-electric grease in there and you're good to go! I'd snap it up if I had the electronic pick-ups. 45 bucks and a 14 day return ya can't go wrong!

WHY is this thread taking soooooo long to get to 700 posts? Same reason it's got over 11,080 views! NOBODY knows WHY!!!!!!!!
  7. And I just got your rotor in, so by next week you'll be sitting pretty!
  8. That win was kinda like a 1st & 2nd gen racing each other, you know you're gonna win on the 1st gen............
  9. Better watch out for Lowell, he may be coming to Tennessee to pick that bike up!
  10. Just think, it's a lot easier to put that 1st gen fairing and bag kit on there without all that extra stuff in the way! Good luck Kevin, I know you'll need it!
  11. Hey, hey, hey now, lets watch that talk! My 22 year old daughter finally hooked up with a decent guy and I don't need them getting any ideas! Congrats to you Scott (and at least I will call you Grand Mother!), have you been able to pry Sherri loose from the ceiling yet?!

  17. Hey Lutz, I thought the same thing too till I looked again,,,,,,,,, That's the drain hole for the spark plug well, I changed my post in the other thread before someone could discover the error of my ways.......... The head coolant drain plug is below the cover attachment screw
  18. That's cylinder #4, guarentee it's the front half of the cover gasket, the rear half wouldn't drain into the well since the oil would be sitting on the back side of the head. Hope you can save it. Dano
  19. That is the drain hole for the spark plug well, if you've got oil coming out of there it's from your valve cover. Check the cover edges around that plug well, perhaps the gasket slipped when you were installing it.
  20. Way to go Randy, you keep after it. I look forward to the day when we can meet face to face and I can look that beautiful bike over! Dan

    Why?

In todays paper: "There is really nothing more to say-- except WHY. But since "why" is difficult to handle, one must take refuge in "how".----- Toni Morrison Why, I wanna know, Why is it like that?! "How" tried it once, but gave up due to lack of interest!
