    Tore the rear of the bike off for maintenance and look what I discovered- a crack in one of the grooves in the middle of the tire. Just installed last year right before the Int'l Rally. Warranty issue?

    Try to stay up at Rockville Rd. and 465, one exit N of Washington St., you won't like the hotels on Washington St......... Unless you're looking for some alternative activities........ I assume your bike is at Dreyers Yamaha on W Washington St., one of the mechanics there rides a MKI and I've spoken with him before. I've got an appointment scheduled for 9:30 Friday morning, shouldn't take but an hour to get done then I would be able to come get you and go get your bike working. Are you trying to get us to fix everything for you???!!! Just kidding. Give me a call Thursday evening and we can work out details. Be neat if a MKI ign switch would plug into the harness, I've got an extra one with a key laying here in the garage....... Dan

    Same here, prayers on the way. Almost had a cager take me out a couple of weeks ago turning right in front of me from the left lane. He knew I was there too.

    Had that happen to me going over a jump on my dirt bike once......... Not real pleasureable to sit back down again not knowing it wasn't there!!!!!!

    I had a set of stainless Z brackets on there, they ended up cracking so I went with 1/4" flat steel and haven't had a problem since.

    Do what Dragonrider says and give Jeff a call, he's unemployed right now and has a lot of time on his hands......... Right Mini?? Seriously, he's the one guy I go to on here with my bike problems (don't let him know that tho, he'll get a big head!)

    I hope the stainless will hold up, especially the 4 for the vertical bars. They tend to "carry the weight" and could snap. I used Grade 8 bolts for these connections and after a year and a half no signs of wear.

    Use the high/low switch to trigger an SPDT relay to pass the higher voltage to the ballast. Run it from the battery and put a fuse in the feed.

    So sorry to hear of that, too many have been taken from us this way. Just this weekend and last week, we've had too many taken. The 13 year old at the support race for the MotoGP, a 15 year old at a local dirt bike race and a few from the community due to either unfortunate circumstances or age. Really kinda sad myself this week. Dan
