  1. I might have to sneak up I69 for a peek here in a couple of weeks...... AND beat you all to the punch!
  2. You can heat the heads up slightly then take a punch and knock them out. Of course you'll have to work upside down on the top one. If they're really tight, then you'll need to cut them out.
  3. Glad to see you back on here Spear, it's been a long time. Certainly glad your trip was so much fun and everyone returned safe and sound. Can't wait to see the pics! Dan

Call during the day and talk to the American born lady who answers. She will be glad to help you.
  5. Yes, the current rotor has one magnet to trigger the pickup and the 1200 setup has 2 magnets for the dual pickups. Check the starter clutch on the back of the rotor before you install it, if it's cracked you need to replace it. See, that's worth $12 for the membership right there!
  6. And any redhead who plays a good fiddle is hot too!!!
  7. And you were just in second gear, right?
  8. So,,,, come on Dray, lets hear the goodies!!!!
  9. I kinda thought you already WAS an old fart..........
  10. Yup, no contest- 1st gen.....
  11. But you could use a NC/NO relay to check the circuit out or just jumper/unjumper the wires in the plug......
  12. This is less political than discussing the 1st gen- 2nd gen "who is fastest" ongoing debate!! But I bet we can keep it going for a few days!!
  13. I would have to say it's Charlie again on the FJR!! This is what his FJR will look like after paying the ticket!
  14. Looks like fun Gary, would love to do that sometime!
  15. Hmmm, looks like Mini used the long-distance whip and reached out and "touched" somebody!! I warned ya Dan!
  16. I'll try and keep up with the ol' coot for ya Mini, how's the old man doing over there? Dan
  17. 5-4-3-2---------- Just a countdown helper........
  18. Look underneath the carb bracket on the left side, just under where it says "caution" on that label. It points straight up, is round and has a phillips slot and knurls around the outside of it. Kinda gotta get down on your knees and put your head down below the rear of the carbs. It's behind the bracket.
  19. Tempting fate, aren't we Dan?

    Made it home

Nice lookin' bike Brad, always did like that color
  21. You tried putting on your long johns?
  22. If you're around 50k on the speedo, you might think about doing the valve clearance check, and at least check out the valve (cam) cover gaskets while you can see them good.
  23. Thought you was going out to fix a car?
  24. I had thought they did away with carbs by the mid 80's, this must be a Rochester then, right?
  25. Dang Dan, I invite ya ta' have some BBQ with us, and THIS is what happens?! I'm truly sorry to hear of that happening to you, hope that visit with the head doc turns out well and things get better.
