No, that big gear comes off with it, just like you'll be getting it back from me. It'll pull off of there once the rotors off, I don't need it, but leave the round clutch attached to the rotor because there is a small washer twixt it and the rotor I'll need. -

Hey Kevin, just put the bike into gear or use a pneumatic air hammer gun to take the bolt loose. Then you'll need to use a bolt-on 3 finger gear puller to take the rotor off. Tie a small rope around the rotor and leave about 3 feet in front of it clear with some padding laying there 'cause it might be overnight when it pops off!! Of course, that's after you've taken all your spare time to get it off and it don't want to come off, then you leave the remover tightened up on there all night and VOILA, the next morning it looks like the gremlins have done the job for ya! -
Yeeeaaahh! Good job Dan. Me and the wife are working on our 26th this year, just a tad bit ahead!! :cool10::cool10:

Thanks Ruff, I've been watching your posts, glad I don't work for a big feller like you do! Good to see you're doing much better tho. Hope the other knee goes as well when you get it done.

Thanks guys, now you can see why I didn't remember any of it! Those descriptions are directly from the Sheriff who took the report! I'm getting a lot better now, still working on getting the left wrist/arm back in power and trying not to have to sleep so much! I'm accepting a little bit of work right now, but not stuff I can't handle. Hope to be back to full bore by mid-summer (about 4 months before the docs said I will!)

Yep, I'm 6'2" with a 35 inch inseam and there's times on the 1st gen that even I'd be tip-toeing it at lights!

Gave it to the insurance company, didn't want to have to deal with the memories that came with it..... Full NADA $$ tho,,,

Just to show everybody how GOOD a 2nd gen will protect you from deer! Carried an 8 point buck 75', he came off the left side then the bike threw me off into the bean field to the right! These were taken at my buddys garage after he got it back there. Just notice the dirt on the right side after the bike threw me off then went off road, damage on the left side is from the deer alone! Like I said, glad a car wasn't involved and it couldn't have happened in a better place!

Kinda wish I'da took my 1 ton van the day I hit one last fall........

I know that! My new son-in-law doesn't know how to work on the house he had built.....

Hmm, they are local guys to me..... I just got a small package from them ( I usually just pick up from them) that came USPS mailed. I think I'll recommend to Jason and Amier to just ship that way to Canada, might help their sales out up there. Depends on how the paperwork is filled out.....
-
Ahhh, they just operate at our speed and abilities....
-
It would make my wif MAD when I'd do that on my 84!
-
As usual Jonas, it's good to hear from you! If you can't make it, a couple of bottles sounds like your personal representatives are coming for you! Nice touch.....

Delrin motor mounts?
Dano replied to Coffeepot's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I used the Delrin mounts when I did my second gear 3 years ago, handles better, no noticeable vibrations. 84 will still pick up the front wheel in 2nd with no slip! -
Lotta fun, but a bbbiiittt chilly heading there and back! Had the soft top on it, let in a LOT of cold air!
