I always ride with complete attention to traffic, not as much for wildlife (I figure you cannot react quick enuff for them, proved that to myself....), that's why it happened to me. We're sorry for the mans passing and his wife hurt, but that's why we make such a big deal about riding safely on here to keep reminding folks...... -
Good luck Dragonrider, it'll be a fun and long day if you want her running tonite!

The shot looking at the stud from the end showing how centered and good looking that hole providin' was to the "manufacturer" of the stud shows that "I got lucky one mo' time" for him! :cool10: :cool10: -

Hey Kevin, put just a dab of oil on your crankshaft and inside the rotor that matches up to the crank, line up the keyslot in the rotor with the key on the crank (with the front edge of the key pointed in to the rotor), then slide the rotor onto the crank as far as you can (may take a couple of taps with a hammer to help out), then insert the bolt and CRANK it as tight as possible (easier to do with an electric or air powered impact gun!). If you have one after that, check the lbs/ft torque you've got on it to make sure it's over 100 ft/lbs of torque. It won't come loose because the crank turns opposite the way as you tighten so the bolt won't loosen up. Oh, if the crank wants to turn 'cause you're just using a regular ratchet, put the bike into gear!! Good luck Dano -
That gray/silver color only came out in 2008!!

We went to a local award ceremony tonite to thank the folks that kept me alive right after the accident. Here are pics of the folks. First is the two women (both nurses!) who stopped first and kept me going Second is the Captains there that day, 3rd is the Sheriffs Deputy who laid out the entire 100' course of "first hit, last spot" and told my old friend I was working for at the time EXACTLY how it took place, about 3 hrs after the hit. The last 3 are the medics and firemen that were there that day. The story on the last guy is that it was his first day! Welcome to your new job! It was their idea for this, my job was talking to each one, I really liked and wanted to do that. Surprised a few with my status as they didn't think I'd make it to the ER let alone come out of it......

We WILL be back riding this year, hopefully by August. We won't give up this great part of our lives, it's too good a part...... Most all of our friends do this and don't live close to us so we'll keep on doin' it.....
