Spear, PM me with the info you've given them, or you Squid, and I'll pursue on Weds. If you've already got something going, Spear, let me know that also. Or call me on the cell- 317-370-0139 Merry Christmas to all, Dan -
Not fair!!!!! Squeeze got all his new playtoys today!!!! Merry early Christmas to you, Squeeze! And many thanks for all the wisdom and knowledge you have given us, that is more precious than any physical gift we can receive (other than a mint 1st gen mk1!). Dan

We could do our Brethren in the South a big favor by setting up our own delivery system, they could send us their favorite beverage and we could ship their parts. I know you get a better discount from Flatout if you order online and have it direct shipped ( even if you live next door!), so we could save them a lot of money and probably get it to them quicker! :detective: Merry Christmas, Dan -
Sure thing, Bummer. According to what I've read(snicker, snicker) they don't work if you give it to yourself! (Don, just think of the pond monster!) We'll hook-up after I get mine. Thanks and Merry Christmas, Dan

Hey guys, I work right down the street from Flatout, I can do a personal meet & greet with Chris. His cousin is a good friend of mine. I don't doubt that they'll be closed thru Christmas. I can contact them on Wed's. if that's when they'll next be open. Dan -
Sorry Don, missed the first post, what is cost and shipping? Can you give them to yourself and they still work???? Dan

Missed it yesterday, 53 and sunny. Had tooooo much exterior stuff to do. Almost got time around seven last night, but responsibility kicked in again! Today, 25 and cloudy. Merry Christmas to all, Dan

You can go to any auto parts place and buy a standard analog (needle) type voltmeter for 10-15 bucks. Read the manual that comes with it (the AC/DC measuring section), you won't need any of the other stuff it can do. Check your voltage (DC) from the red wire post (+) to a ground (screw head or bare metal). This is where you read the 13.5 or more volts as you are twisting the throttle up to around 2000 rpm's. These stators do not put out enough voltage at idle to charge. The white plug he is talking about is under the left side panel, it just pops off after you take the lower strap off. Next to the frame riser you see under the seat, is the white plug GeorgeS was telling about. Follow his instructions, clean the plug with some contact cleaner you can also find at the parts store, and hope for the best. Or,,,, have someone look at the headlight on high beam while you are at idle, then rev the motor up to 2000 rpm and see if it gets brighter(cheater way of checking it!) If it doesn't get brighter, THEN check with the voltmeter. Good luck! and Merry Christmas! Dan

Wife got a new kitchen, appliances and cookery(?), I've managed to get the parts to put factory radio and cb on the bike. Both year long Christmas presents. Merry Christmas to all, Dan

I stopped just short of 1PM this afternoon, (5 hrs difference), sat in solemn silence for about 10 minutes thinking of the hell that our guys went through that day. It saddens me that the young generation will not think about it the same way as we did (I'm 50). We're just too different in our thinking, I guess. In remembrance, Dan

Real tree, been going to the same tree farm since 92, they opened in 91. It's just a tradition (girl in college, boy in 9th grade). We go the Friday after Thanksgiving, not too many people. The second weekend, they have military re-enactment guys, old village type setup with people in costume, the BEST cider around, just an enjoyable time. I love the country life!!!!! Merry Christmas to you all, Dan

No VMAX Rear for an '85?
Dano replied to GigaWhiskey's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Doesn't that mean you just need an extra grinder disk, another welding rod and possibly a couple extra sawzall blades to make it work?!?! Gonna be a loooong winter! Good luck, Dan -
Exactly! Dan

Nope, there was a 1st gen alright, but it was pulling the sleigh whilst Santa rode the RSV. (He couldn't fit on the 1st gen!) Don'cha know, the 1st gen KNOWS where to go, but the RSV needs guidance!!!!! :rotf::rotf: Merry Christmas!!! Dan

Got one in last night, about 40 miles all together, found a new "hidden" twisty close by to check out in the future. Went to High School basketball game, they all thought I was nuts. Heck, it was only in the low 30's! Got one in, though! Dan

In honor of Leslie for ‘All’ our beloved fallen...

Just my thought, but three rides across N. America would make it able for 3 or more times the amount of people to participate. This would draw national attention from the media and help guarantee success. A Southern route across I-10, a mid route across I-80, and a northern route across Canada. If it happened on the same days, numbers would be astronomical. Would be glad to help, Dan- 29 replies

Picked up a 96 "1st gen" for my daughter (the princess), she loves it and so do I. Good gas mileage (going to college), looks good, kind of a purple/silver paint job. Doesn't have all the gagdets, but power windows, AC, door locks and basic extras. Have fun with yours! Dan

And to think all I had to do was ask and everybody would have come in to help me remodel my kitchen! Oh well, the living room is next! LOL Dan

How many include Washington DC as a state? Don't even bring in Puerto Rico or any of the other "territories" the US has! On the subject of coin change, give a clerk the exact change and then ask them for the "exact change discount", and see how long it takes! :rotf::rotf: Dan

Hmm, automatically raised the value for all our Bikes!!
