  1. TupperJ has the cables, listed in the classifieds under 1st gen accesories. Put 'em on mine, big difference. Dan
  2. Someone needs to go out in the Pacific where that La Nina or El Nino is and warm that sucker up, they say thats whats causing all of this.........

    Indiana M&E on 46

Thats a darn nice video, Steve. I'm gonna have to look into that one of these days!!! Of course, thats after I figure out where to mount my Koozie somewhere...... Dan
  4. Bummer, where can I find the video? Dan BTW, we will definitely be in for the whole ride on the 26th. Got confirmation from the Nav last nite.
  5. My bike came with 2 of the "Deer Whistles" mounted on the fairing right above the lowers air intake. Live in deer country--Central Indiana-- haven't hit one, haven't seen one jump out in front of me. Noticed 'em on Lowells (WIld Hair) bike also, up at Dons, said he's never had one come out on him, either. I know theres a lot of --"Don't work, can't work", etc. about these things, but........... whos to argue with Lowell?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!! Dan
  6. The actual vent hose check valve is down along the right side just about where the rear Brake reservoir is. If you remove your right side panel, it should be strapped to the frame riser right there at the reservoir. You could remove it and blow thru it to make sure it's not plugged. Dan
  7. Not a convert, just a temporary riding solution!!!! RIGHT YAMMER?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? HUH??????
  8. Nice shots, I should have forsaken the family, boys baseball tournaments, and all that other cr*p and just jumped on the bike and come over! Looks like a load of fun!! Dan
  9. If you're looking for online parts, www.Flatoutmotorcycles.com is the best bet. The best online prices around. I just rebuilt my entire bike using their online ordering system. Of course, since I only live 10 miles from their shop, I saved on the shipping, but their prices are hard to beat. Just make sure you mention in the comments box that you are with Ventureriders, and Chris will take care of you. He is also a member here, Chris@Flatout is his screen name. Any questions about parts, don't hesitate to ask. Plenty of free opinions around here!! Good luck, Dan
  10. Thats what my son says at 6:15 in the morning when he's riding the scooter over to school (7 miles one way) for basketball practice in the mornings!!!! Hey Yammer, if it feels good, do it. We know you still got the bestest bikes in the shed just itchin to get back together and on the road!! If you need something a bit less just to be ridin', we won't hold it against ya!! Dan
  11. Glad I got to ride down there with you today, sorry I missed the whole ride. It was pleasant going back across 46 to 9 then up thru Shelbyville and back home. I was at the ball field about 3 and thinking......Self, you should be with those guys right now..... Kids ended up losing the game, but they went 13-3 on the season, won the regular season and got trophies for that. Will definitely be there for the July ride, Navigator in tow. Jethroish, if you come up with a weekend for that Corydon/Tell City ride, I will be there with you! Heck, if you press me and get that "non-existent" guy Stratcat to show up during the week with you, I'll even take a vacation day for it!! Good to meet Mariner Fan, Bummer and Jethroish, good to see Leadwolf and Nav again! Got to try the Froggtoggs out for a few minutes and enjoyed a nice ride to get back home. See you guys again, soon. Hey Bummer, how did the video come out? Dan
  12. Hey Spear, glad to see you're back amongst the masses! Can't say back among the living, 'cause that's what you've been doing for the last 30 days!!!! Great to have you back. Dan
  13. Dave, glad to hear you're OK. These bikes are tough underneath, and want to keep coming back for more. Check and print out the stuff you need from ebay, these will have pretty good pricing that you will need for the insurance. To really scare them, go online to a Yammi dealer, look up the parts and print them out with dealer prices!!!!!! Most of the skin pieces are still available, if you want to fork out the dough. I have no doubt that she will regain her former beauty. Make sure to check the frame when you get to pull parts off, no telling if the drag or the curb did any damage in there. Heal quick! Dan
  14. Where's the pics??????!!!!!!! Number 1 rule around here!!!!! Dan
  15. Glad you're finally getting this beast tamed!! Dan
  16. When I had mine put back together before I started on the plastics, that was my thought....... Great lines, just need to hang some panels and make it look like an older Ducati, something along those lines.... Scoop built in the front, wraparound body panels, R1/6 tail end.... SMoke rollin' off the tire as you take off...... One of these days!!!!
  17. See if Condor has any "Condorbrace"s left. It'll cure a lot of those problems. Check steering head bearings, may need replaced (bearing and race). Check the bearings by putting the bike on the centerstand and have somebody push down on the rear end to raise the front tire. Grasp the wheel in both hands and try to pull up on it. If any movement is detected at all, the bearings need adjusted.
  18. I'ld give you mine, but then I couldn't ride!! Somebody will come up up with one somewhere. Be patient. There might even be one on ebay, there's a couple of guys parting bikes out. Send a PM to HessforLess (member here), I think he's one of them. Dan
  19. I was talking about the TV announcers here in the states, they usually don't use the Speed Channel guys (Bob Varsha, Peter Windsor, Steve Madgett, et al) when it is shown on regular broadcast TV. The people they use don't have the knowledge and background of the Speed guys and sometimes it's really comical. You just have to shake your head and just laugh it off. Dan
  20. I'm not sure if you have totally espoused your hyper-active neuron impulses completely and thoroughly, as we all know, if thoughts become bottled up, we lose control of them and they just become random thoughts to be expressed to no one in particular, therefore reducing their importance to the subject manner at hand. Dan
  21. Once again, missed the race cause I had to work. Hate it when they're on regular TV in the afternoon. At least in real time I can watch it while I'm drinkin the coffee. And talk about some of the idiots they have call the race!?!? Don't know who it was today, last year they were atrocious. Glad red brought it home again...... Dan
  22. I had a dirt bike trailer, only rated for 500 lbs. Springs nor tires rated for the extra weight. My IT400 and the YZ85 were about all it could handle. Too much frame flex. My next door neighbor used it once to haul an early winger (83) and said the frame flexed too much with the bigger bike. Get the truck and save your butt!!! Dan

    Finally!!!

Did you have to work the bugs out of your teeth, too?!? Glad you're back on the road, Squidley, been gone too long. Check those diaphragms, carb synch, etc., etc., etc. You know what you're doin'. WHy don't you come back thru Indy from WV and ride with the Indy crew on the 28th? You could begin your track to becoming our second Ambassador!!! Good goins and safe riding, Dan
  24. Not a Royale, low miles, looks good, too high a price! Already got one, just happens to be red!! Dan
