  2. TupperJ has the cables, about 35 bucks for a set. He's down in Cincinnati. Dan
  3. Wonder if it started with the crush sleeve at the u-joint mount being loose and not retightened? That would allow play in the middle pinion gear setup, poosibly allowing the damage to the pinion. Looks like the pinion gear was eating into the driven axle pinion, be interesting to see what that looks like. Should be able to view it thru the case opening where you took this shaft out of. If it's bad too, you'll have to break open the case to replace the gear. Dang, THAT HURTS!!!!!!!! Dan
  4. What's it gonna take THIS time, Steve????? 5 or 6 trips to figure it out????? I'd help ya this weekend, but we're headed east. Might have to help on one of those second recon trips, tho.......... Dan
  5. Obviously Beer, you haven't looked through the calendar completely.......... photographic evidence is posted.......... don't see no 2nd gens doin' it, tho!!!!!! Skinny Squidley
  6. JimBobs got it right. Those horn outlets will collect any water that sprays up in there and ruin the horn. I know cause I ran thru 16" of water with my bike, had a Squidley mount with the horn on there and it trashed the thing. You will also get rocks in it. If you want to try and hide it, try going above the radiator or just in front of it. Much better protected and still projecting to the front. Make sure it is run through a relay with at least 16-18 guage wire, as the factory stuff is too small to handle the load. Just use those wires to operate the relay. Dan
  7. Hey Silver Star----- quit lying to us. YOU KNOW that cup of coffee cost you 10 bucks in NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mo money: Skinny Squidley
  8. Beautiful sweepers along most roads around there, about 20 miles east-southeast from Mansfield. You guys have fun. Dan BTW, I was 2up with my son going to Louisvile with Bob, I let him take the lead so he wouldn't fall too far behind me!!!!!!

  17. I would "Venture" to say that it is a Shepard. We've had 2 litters over the years, and looking at my 15 yr old "Max" laying over there, I'd have to say that you're on the money. Feet size as he/she grows will tell you how big it will get. It's definately a keeper!!!! Good luck and get plenty of old socks and shoes for it to chew on!!! Dan
  18. 106 bags, 10 yards? I thunk I'd had called in one of them big ol' rolling barrell trucks and had him pour me out some 'crete!!!! Did 3 driveways last year, still tryin' to heal up my back!!!! Looks good, tho. Now you gotta' fill it with some bikes!! gotta have somethin' to do over the winter!!! Dan
  19. I would have to say it's the clutch rod bearing in the pressure plate. That is the only bearing that will reduce noise with the clutch lever pulled in because the pressure plate stops turning then and you're applying pressure on it. Other wise it's just sittin' and spinnin'. Yup, #17. Dan
  20. 'Bought what they're good for, huh? LOL Dan
  21. Sounds like they are working OK, then. Off to find something else wrong. Chalk it up to lernin' somethin' else new on this bike!! Dan
  22. I'm taking my horizontal furnace (propane) I had in the house, replacing the burners and putting it up in the rafters of my garage. Building a couple of snouts to put the air down where it belongs. Tired of screwing with kerosene and portable heaters. Dan
  23. Jack, let me know where I can find your bike parked at, now that I've got your keycode. I don't want to have to take a lot of time when I come out there ta' steal it from you!!!! LOL Dan
  24. Eck, are you riding a bike or piloting the space shuttle there???!!!! Almost looks like you would be too busy to enjoy the ride!!! LOL Dan
  25. Kbran & Cap't. thanks alot for the offers. Checked mine with the meter last night...... Open atmosphere to hose. red lead to Black/red wire, black lead to black/yellow wire---- 2 volts output. Apply vacuum(by YOUR choice of application!) voltage drops accordingly to 1-1/2 - 1-3/4 volts. Looking at the chart in the book, seems to be OK. I'll have to look further for the cause of my problems. Dan
