  1. I like my 84 Standard with the fixed 2nd gear. I can now nail it in 1st riding 2 up, run rather quickly thru 3rd to high double digits no problem at all. Matter of fact, it's quite fun!! I'm sure the Nav likes it, she hasn't complained yet!
  2. Ahh, been with this one too long, but I'll still squeeze in "Skinny Squidley" when he's needed!!!!
  3. You shouldn't have had that anniversary on Friday, coulda' got off with a cheaper dinner thru the week!!!!! Anyway, Happy Anniversary and many more! (I guess you could hope the creek will rise and you can't get out!!) Dan
  4. Sounds like he's talking about the throttle position sensor............ Whadya think, Dan???? JMHO Dan

    1st gen armrests

I hope be developing a set of armrests for the 1st gens this winter when things slow down, and can be ready for marketing by spring. Figured might as well build them if you can't find them. Couldn't do it without the help of a good friend, though, who provided the layout and measurements to me. We'll see how it works out. Dan
  7. PS---- by the way Brad, I forget, is it the left ear or the right ear you like scratched the most???????? LOL Dan
  8. Once again folks, I appreciate the kind words and remembrances you have written here. Max was my best buddy, and we never had any problems or anything "missing" while he stood watch. Squidley, Leadwolf 56 and their Nav's got to see him when they passed through, never a kinder, gentler beast around. We will sorely miss him for a long time. May get another, but probably spring time and then we'll check the pounds and find the one we're meant to have. Once again, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You Dan
  9. Sounds like you'll be done around 2012!!
  10. Sounds like yours and mine time frames run about the same for projects!! Dan
  11. Great pics, liked those 1st gen shots!
  12. Thanks guys, I really appreciate your words.
  13. After 15-1/2 years, sadly I had my German Shepard Max put down this morning......... Poor old guy had just gotten too bad with his hips and health for him to be comfortable any more. It was with a very heavy heart that this was done. But I know it was for the right reasons, still doesn't make it any easier. Had to do the same with his mom about 4 years ago. This time tho, no family with me, alone to "take care of it". Gonna be a rough few days. Also gonna be a little quiet around here for awhile. Thanks for listening, Dan
  14. Thanks Bill, I really appreciate that.
  15. And my sons 79 Camaro, another house remodel, my regular day job, leaves in the yard, my daughters brakes again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, AND, that's just this weekend!!!!! Dan PS, plus I gotta lay my 15-1/2 year old German Shepard down tomorrow morning. Gonna be tough.
  16. We have Progressive, all cars under parents names, doesn't matter who drives them, every one in the house is covered. Matter of fact, my boy gets his license on Nov. 9th (turned 16 last Thursday, 30 days wait), no increase in premium, they rate by the amount of cars and driving record and grades for those in school. I pay about 800 every 6 months for 1 full coverage and 2 with liability only (01 Durango, 97 Sebring Conv., 79 standard Camaro). If they need another car on there to bring it on down, I'll put my 65 Corvair on there!! Good luck Don, Dan
  17. Well Don, I guess I'll be seeing you at work sometime rather than just up at your house next year!! PM me when you're gonna hit Indy and we'll hook-up. (Some of you are just jealous, aren't you?!!!!) We work in the same industry. Matter of fact, we just got 4 big boxes in from you guys. Good luck trying to fit it all in, Dan
  18. Was thinking about doing it last Sunday after our ride, but life gets in the way and I can't make it. Feel free to stop by and take a break if you need to on the way if you go 65. Just give me a call. Ride safe brother, Dan Well wishes to you, too, Lonna!
  19. And without a lock-up and skid. That's too nice-lookin' a bike to get hurt! Glad you found it and got it fixed. Nothing worse than chasing something like that down. Dan
  20. Congrats, I'm hoping the same situation rolls my way, I'm just waiting on the sweet offer..... Dan
  21. Filled up the bike for 2.66 this morning, 2.79 this afternoon, probably switching from summer blend to winter blend also. Watch the wholesale price, that'll tell you where it's going. Actually spent more on lunch today than I did for 2 tanks of gas!!! Dan
  22. Glad you 2 had a safe trip, would love to do that someday. Can't wait to see the pics!! Dan
  23. I coulda swore they had Mickey Mouse on the front and ScoobyDoo on the back!!!!!!
