  1. Well, I hadn't tried that yet but may.
  2. It's been a busy couple of weeks. Sent the seats off to Spencer to be reworked. Haven't had a chance to ride them to see if it cured my ills. Added driving lights to the fender, slipped the forks an inch, put the smaller Clearview tinted with vent on, and did the amp for the cassette mod. Couple of questions; On the amp mod it seems like I'm topping out and distorting way to quick. I'd say I'm tapped in after the stock amp. Anyone got the wiring schematic to bypass the stock amp? Using risers; the rubber stoppers no longer work for the fairing and it shakes. How have you dealt with this to fix it? I have slashcut pipes to put on, but I'd ordered the wide chrome clamps to put them on with and for the life of me can't find them. I have the box they came in, remember looking at them, and they've vanished...
  3. I like to ride on the centerline just to shake things up a bit... Hadn't see that. I'd figure more people would be apt to miss you thinking you were off the road there. Or be more prone to a squeeze pass.
  4. What route you taking? We could wave along your way.
  5. Your mileage may vary but my keister didn't like the seat after about 100 miles. Just had it reworked but she's torn apart and haven't had a chance to test it. Some like it, others don't. Cheap cup holder; tear the bottom out of a foam coozie. It will slip over your gas cap and a 20 oz bottle of water will go in it. It suctions to the tank and won't tip over. As it sweats it can actually become hard to get it off the tank!
  6. Skip it and go straight to the LED board. It's worth the money. I even thought so when I bought my 1st one at $135 and now they're $60. Add the run/stop/turn LED signals and she's bright enough to fry the cager behind you.
  7. And now the mods begin anew... Congrats on the new scoot. Dig around in the basement and see if you can find your old cassettes.
  8. Stop by Paducah and say Hi since you bought the right color. LOL Check the weather. It's going to be coolish.
  9. That looks like what I'll do. Shouldn't be too much since I am only using it to switch the relay. Thanks.
  10. Where did you connect the relay swith to? I'm looking for something that's not on when I hit start.
  11. Well, everything is a Q-tip even though it's not. LOL I've got the amp and lights so I'd like them off for the start.
  12. The cigarette lighter? Does that cut out when you hit the starter?
  13. Aux connector? If it's that one by the battery it will be the home of my zumo. Want something that will kill the extra lights and amp when starting.
  14. I eventually plan on using that when I get the Zumo. There's got to be something in the fairing I can tap.
  15. Read the thread stating any available brown wire is a switched power wire. I've added the amp and some lights to the fender bolts. Got the tank off and power run to the lovely relays. Now I just need switched power. Tap the headlight wire? Or something convenient? The Yamma instructions for adding lights don't give me a warm fuzzy.
  16. Well duh. I was busy hooking up everything else I quit reading. He said on it he ran wires since they were mono. Sigh. Thanks.
  17. Doing the amp for cassette mod and ran into something I'd rather avoid. My right rear speaker wires come out of the pod so I can see the color for them to split up at the radio. However, the left rear speaker pod has 4 wires going into it. Apparently when I swapped speakers I connected them inside the pod. I don't know what color is (+)/(-) or for that matter what two of the four is the speaker. Anyone have a diagram that tells? Haven't found it so far. Thanks.

Now that sounds like fun. LOL I have to get the rest of it together and take a look at them. Decide then what I'll want to do.

I was under the impression, which may be wrong, that HD only had the cat on the right. I'll have to pull them back out and look for that. Right now I'm knee deep in the amp for the cassette mod.

How in the hell did you do that?

There's a plate in the rear, but not the front. I'm wondering about it since I want the look.

Well, I bought a set of slash cuts to install. Told me it had the converter. Turns out they both have the converter so apparently I was sent to right(?) sides. Lovely. The converter wasn't what I'd pictured. Figured it would be pellets to get out. Turns out it's layers of metal in an interesting patter. Cutting it looks impossible without knowing what a cutaway version looks like. The end has the usual look to it, but the engine side doesn't. Not sure anything can be done, or that I can run them. Sigh.
  23. Illuminated license plate is probably not only state, but federal. You are required to have a red reflector back there as well. Some cut them off, get hit for it, and then gripe about it. When someone else is involved in a crime and witnesses can't tell the LEO what the plate was because it wasn't illuminated, is that the cops paying too much attention?
  24. Not properly made for our scoot. Someone said something about the license plate before I bought mine. It was noted to have the 3 LED array pointing up to do that.
  25. What LED board did you use? The one from Radiantz/Customdynamic has three white LEDs that light up the plate. What did you get?
