Gaskets???? Who uses gaskets?? This stuff is good. It's Loctite 510 Gasket Eliminator. I use it on my clutch cover instead of gaskets. http://rshughes.com/images/products/thumbnails/ceSnD9PdbxrsSo3ZuoKd8Q_thm.jpeg

holy crap!! 130-150 bux to mount a tire?!?!?! Heck, it only takes an hour, so even at 80 bux an hour that's nuts. Local Yammie dealer here is 40 mounted on the bike if you bought the tire from them.

PureOne is far superior. Supertech is Champion, not Purolator. The PureOne filter is the best money wise. The SuperTech is a good filter, but it's not equal to PureOne. The PureOne has much more media in it and it's tighter packed. http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/FilterStudy.html http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/Images/OilFilters3.jpg

Ok, you must live around Hastings and River Road then or in the approximate area. I have a buddy that lives in that neighborhood and I've seen your bike a couple of times while I was at his house.

Gas prices are the way they are because we are willing to pay it.

Who has the Midnight with the green neon's on it? Ive seen that one a couple times.

meh, The exhaust restriction is going to come from the head pipes on these bikes. I would almost bet that you could run it with no mufflers and still have the same performance. Your not going to get much more out of this engine without going internal. About the only things you can do are 1. mod the air boxes to allow more air flow 2. jet the carbs to compensate for more air flow 3. get a Dyna 3000 module to open up the top end 4. install a COMPLETE bub exhaust system After that, you're looking into installing V-Max performance parts such as dome top pistons and hot cams.

From what I can tell, it appears the BFGoodrich T/A radial, 155/80R15 is the best tire.

A car tire on the dragon!! Oh the humanity!!! http://bp1.blogger.com/_LxZ4Mi3rR3Q/R00r2AE27CI/AAAAAAAAFMA/BA_vR7DJs4g/s400/img_6517.jpg

There is a greater contact patch with a car tire then a motorcycle tire, even in the turns. The tire flexes as the bike turns. Goldwingers and Valk riders have been using them for years with no problems.

I'm all for it. Im just too financially strapped to spend 75 bux on a tire that might not work and if it doesn't I can't get my money back on it.
-
Tire did fine, the camera fell off the bike.

Use Ride-On and you don't have to worry about balancing.

My Bad. I forgot that you can't see his other videos. He has other videos in his channel of his bike that do show the tire. http://youtube.com/user/RiderRocketman

It was a bad dubbing of the video. For some reason, youtube really distorts some videos. Here's a video of a car tire on the back of a supercharged Rocket 3. [ame=http://youtube.com/watch?v=twWOL2ceP4s]YouTube - Triumph Rocket III playtime SUPERCHARGED RAW Version[/ame]

I think that rooster1 is putting one on his bike. I can't remember what size though exactly, but he has a sidecar. I see no problems with using a car tire on the back and I think that it would be an improvement over the bias ply tire. This is a heavy bike and I don't think that a polyester bias ply tire is heavy enough and instead a steel belted radial would be better. The contact patch is greatly improved, even in cornering. The tire flexes when the bike is turned. The difference is that it is harder to initiate the turn, but once the bike is off center, it's smooth and controlled. The only tires I have seen that are close is the BFG T/A, and some Volkwagon front tires in 165r15 size.

Ive never done one on a Dodge product but Ive done a couple on GM's. Remove the wheel, caliper, rotor. Take off the CV shaft nut. Take a 2x4 and cover the end of the CV shaft and pop it with a hammer. Undo the 3 bolts that hold the bearing assembly on the strut. Ive had to take the lower ball joint loose the pull the strut away from the CV shaft if it wont collapse far enough. It's not a hard job, about 3 hours if you take your time.

The daughters called ahead to daddy and said that the big bad biker was following them. -

I'm a gun guy and even I think this guy is in the wrong. It has been strongly suggested now that the girls hit the motorcyclist first and he was just following them. That guy is an idiot and he never should of had access to a gun and I hope he rots in prison with a big weinered cellmate. -
I came across this on another board. It wasn't available commercially at the time but now it is. The product is called QuikClot. This is a video of it being used. Those look really good for not being a factory after market accessory.
