  1. Did it come with the LED lights in it? If so, I believe Yamaha changed the bulb style. The lens itself with fit. Also the lens off a Roadstar and a V-Star will fit as well so you can look up those lens's...
  2. I think there is a TSB on a coolant leak. The proper procedure is the replace the head gasket, not just retorque the head bolts.
  3. I dont even look at the sight glass. I just put in 3.75 qts out of a gallon jug. You won't foul the plugs if you over fill it, it'll just blow out the crankcase vent and make a mess.
  4. did you have the bearings checked? If the wheel is not turning freely, the bearings may be loose and causing the wobble. Have someone hold the handlebars while the bike is in the air and try to move the front wheel side to side.
  5. BTW, this is the one I carry. Bought it at VatoZone here in Amarillo. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/412RV13odQL._SL500_AA280_.jpg I almost bought this one, but once you put it in the pouch with the cables and hose, it was just as big as the above one. http://www.offroaders.com/tech/ATV-Tires/images/slime-12-volt-ATV-Tire-Compressor.jpg I almost bought it anyways just for the protective case, but I decided on the above because of the built in LED light and built in gauge which is accurate. Less crap I need to carry on the bike. I figgered that the next time I get a flat, it will be in the middle of nowhere, at night, and the light would be rather beneficial.
  6. Underneath the right side lower fairing.
  7. Folks, I introduce you to the new V-Max, well, at least his exhaust signature... Crank up the volume before clicking the link. http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/products/lifestylehome/home.aspx
  8. I don't see why a couple of self tapping screws couldn't work. or a drill bit and a couple of regular sheet metal screws.
  9. How often do you use the horn with the CB on to validate the need to find a repair for it?
  10. How about who can stir the pot the most with threads about tires?!?!?!?!
  11. +1 20 bux a month for 3 or 4 months a year is cheap compared to a trailer.
  12. It doesn't blow the fuse if you remove the 5 amp and replace it with a 10 amp!!!
  13. Does anyone have a set of factory links they would not mind letting go of? I'd let to pick up a set to play with.
  14. There are 2 Silverstars that will fit, but only 1 of them is rated for motorcycle use.
  15. I have not found a skinny enough tire to fit a 16" wheel. My Roadstar had a 16" wheel and I could not find a tire that would fit it. The closest thing I could ever find is a 175/55R16 in Yokohama and it was 194 bux.
  16. I puts me a SilverStar headlight in as well and it's more brighter with the same current draw. H.I.D. is the way to go though. They draw LESS current and are much brighter.
  17. Dang, you are very lucky. 3 years on the same set of tires? Dang, I've gone through 3 rears in 1 year before.
  18. hmmm...might be worth a drive to Missouri!!!
  19. Sometimes I take the key out of the ignition but usually only away from the house or work. Otherwise, my bike sits outside the house and outside my work with the key in the ignition.
  20. It's also illegal in many states.
  21. Have you tried shooting it?
  22. No thanks, I think my Venture is too low as it is now.
  23. Rear shock calls for a max of 57psi. I run 55 psi riding 1up.
