    There was a kid at work who lost his keys. He took his ignition off and took it to a locksmith. The locksmith cut him 3 keys for 40 dollars. Bummer on the gas tank lock. You may have to take the whole bike up there.

    I had the front end shake with the Michelin Commanders as well. Im sure it's in the bearings or forks, I just can't afford to tear the bike down and fix it.

    Im sure that in the last 80,000 miles, the front forks are worn and probably in need of a rebuild job. Or it could be the skinnier Avon front tire. the threads about the 1st gen wobble with the Avons come to mind.

    Ive had mine to a speedohealed 110mph. The front end shake stops me there. Before the speedoheal, I could tag 120.

    You can get a shock online for less then 400, but nothing less expensive. There is a shock company under the "Works" brand that is THE shock to have, but it's a grand.

    Do you know if you have the factory grips and bar ends? I bought my bike used and it had aftermarket grips on it and the handlebars buzzed and killed my wrists. I bought a set of grips on ebay with the weighted bar ends and the buzz is gone.

    Just push the trunk lid all the way open. It'll tweak if you try to close it and it catches on the "stop" or "catch" or whatever the heck it is. Just push the lid back where it's supposed to be.

    HOLY CRAP!!! 900 bux!?!?!?! I would definitely pick up a used unit first. I bought a used unit for my RSV for 55 bux shipped to my front door. For 300 bux, you could exchange it with Blue Ridge Mountain. http://rmsportmax.com/gateway.html There are 12 final drives on ebay in the "stores" section starting out at 90 bux.

    A speedohealed 27 miles per gallon. Highway, in town, doesn't matter, 27-28 miles per gallon.

    Pull up on the boards on a RSV and you'll see them. They are the steel part on the bottom on the aluminum board along the outside. They make good sparks.

    As a CHL holder in Texas, Im going to have to call this a bad shoot. Her 15 year old son got out and was kicking the guy after he was down and "taunting" him as he lay on the ground bleeding.
