  2. It took this long. http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28258
  3. I bought my Joe Rocket mesh jacket for 90 bux from New Enough, plus shipping and tax since they are in Texas, but they had it in my size.
  4. Depends on your definition of "thrill" is. I had an 03 Roadstar Silverado, put 40k miles on it in 3 years. Awesome low end power, but once it started to rev up, it'd lose most of it's acceleration. The Venture is just opposite. The low end is OK, but rev it up and it flies. Plus it was belt drive, after the 2nd belt popped I got rid of it.
  5. I'll take one of yours since you have 2.
  6. Anyone with a 2nd gen who has installed the driving lights still have the turn signal they took off? I'm going to remove the driving lights and I need a turn signal bar to put in it's place. Thanks.
  7. I don't buy new vehicles. I let someone else take the majority of the depreciation value. I would be looking into an 06 or 07 used model for less then 10k if I was in the market and had some cash.
  8. WOW!!! 15,000 miles and that tire looks great. Thanks for the pictures. Yours is wearing better then mine, but I ride like an idiot.
  9. Ive had good luck with Zanotti. They had the best price for my new ignition switch. The only thing I didn't like is that you have to have the part number. It's not a big deal because so many other dealers post the parts breakdown. http://www.zanottimotor.com/Yamaha.html
  10. Stoeger Coach guns are wicked. Im partial to a Serbu Super Shorty. http://www.impactguns.com/store/media/ser_shorty_big.jpg

  12. If you have very little firearms experience, then I would recommend a Mossberg Maverick 88 with a 20 inch barrel and some light loaded buckshot. You should be able to pick one up for around 200 dollars. I would go with a 20inch over and 18inch because the 20 holds 2 more rounds. Most outdoor ranges will let you shoot shotguns. Take it to the range and get familiar with it. If someone ever does break in, stay in the bedroom with the door shut. If bad guy opens the door, well then, bad news for him. I do not recommend a handgun for home protection unless your willing to put a lot of time into learning how to properly handle it. Handguns are more likely to miss and the ammunition will penetrate walls farther.
  13. Missouri is a helmet law state. Most Helmets I've seen while riding through were non-DOT novelty helmets.
  14. Ah yes, the BABE CAGE. Good Golly is that thing horrible. I rode with no helmet for 8 years. After watching a buddy of mine bounce off the pavement, I decided that I should probably start wearing a helmet. BTW, there's an article by one of the bike rags that shows cheaper helmets actually offer more protection then more expensive helmets. The cheap ones used Styrofoam which absorbed more impact then the more expensive ones that use the new polymer compound, but the more expensive ones were lighter, quieter and more comfortable to wear. Edit to add : These tests were done of D.O.T. approved Full Face helmets, not Skid Lids or Novelty helmets.

  16. Glad to hear that Lowell. You need to of that tire so we can see how well it is not wearing.
  17. I average 28mpg. Highest ever was 34 Lowest was 21
  18. I wouldn't waste your time drilling out stock yamaha mufflers. Ever heard a mouse fart in a coffee can? Get some Roadking mufflers if you just want a little deeper, but not louder. Get Bub's if you want a little deeper and a little louder. Get Baron's if you want a lot of deeper and a lot of louder!!!!! I have the Baron's bag pipes. Friggin' loud. Sounds mean revved up. I passes a buddy of mine one day while he was in his pickup on the highway. He said it sounded like a small block chevy with straight pipes that went flying by him. I was running around 100 mph.
  19. Tire whine. It goes well with cheese. The Clutch whine makes a fine accompaniment with cedar plank salmon.
  20. Fried Okra rocks!!! http://www.roadfood.com/recipephotos/mini_60.jpg
  21. It howls when you lean over? It's the tire.

  23. I bet if you had put the nail back in to seal the hole, aired up the tire, and then rode on it, it would have sealed. I bet you picked that nail up close to home and the Ride-On did not get a chance to seal it up proper. Just ponderin'... BTW... 24. Why thank you!!
