  1. What's that green thing behind that big orange tank?
  2. yeah, you can mount it on the rear, reverse the rotation so the tread pattern will run the right way. It'll wear down faster but it'll work until he can get a new tire on hand.

    Sea Foam

Any place where auto chemicals are sold including, Napa, AutoZone, Advance Auto, Oreilly's, WalMart. Seafoam is a fuel system cleaner and is used as a preventative maintenance to keep the carbs clean.
  4. http://www.teamrocs.com/images/technical/relay_diagram.gif 4) 86 Horn Button use a test light to the (negative battery) 86 and 87 should light up when you hit the button. If 86 does not light up, then there is a problem with the wire between the relay and the horn button, maybe the factory fuse... If there is power at 30 and 86 lights up when the horn button is pressed and 87 does not light up when you hit the button, then the relay is bad. If 87 does light up, put the tester on the wire at the horn and see if it lights up, if not, then the wire from the relay to the horn is bad.
  5. or you could use a test light or a volt meter and test all the wires at the relay in about 30 seconds.
  6. Hey now, those government people spend a lot of money to be that dumb!!!
  7. 30 the battery 87 to the horn 85 to ground 86 to the horn button
  8. Poetic justice, keep the dipsticks so busy in their own backyard that they won't have time to leave.
  9. Most excellent on the price!! I wonder what the top of the load limit is for that shock?
  10. Try it, it'll only cost ya $10 in spark plugs.
  11. No exhaust on the Venture is going to sound like your big twin Suzuki. V4 vs Vtwin. Straight pipes on the Venture/RSTD will sound like a small block V8 when it's wound up.
  12. The K&N's and mufflers will not affect gas mileage. The restriction on the intake side is the air box on top of the carbs and the pipes leading to the filters. You could probably remove the air filters completely and notice no difference in performance. On the exhaust side, the head pipes are the restriction, not the mufflers.
  13. My old battery was an Interstate branded Yuasa. No complaints on it, but the local dealers were asking over $100 for a Yuasa and the nearest Sam's is 40 miles away. I thought my DEKA for $84 was a decent deal.
  14. Well, the DEKA battery is highly recommended by many on the board and Advance Auto's and Oreilly's house brand is a DEKA battery in disguise!!! http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=58706&highlight=battery Oreilly's had a better price, but your experience may vary out there in the islands.
  15. The battery in the Roadies is about as small as it can be and still turn in over. I wish they had used a bigger one.
  16. You're wasting a lot of money of excessive oil changes. You should be able to go 3-5,000 miles with no problems. Keep the oil changed and it's easily a 200,000 mile engine.
  17. You'll smell more gas in the hotter months because the gas is evaporating out of your tank. That's fairly normal. You may want to drain your tank and remove the petcock and make sure there's nothing plugging up the valve. As for fuel mileage, if you can get your hands on some BG 44K, it'll clean the carbs as you ride. It made a difference in my bike.
  18. The tire's fine. If it has dual rotors, just turn the tire and wheel around. If it's single rotor, it'll have to be flipped on the wheel. Read the owner's manuals in your car. Flipping the direction of a tire won't cause it to magically explode. There are no arrows on non-directional automobile tires. Usually, the front tires are rotated straight back and the rear tires are rotated side to side and to the front. The directional tread on a tire has nothing to do with how it's wrapped. The tread pattern is to disperse water properly. Squidley even posted a picture once of a motorcycle tire that had arrows in both directions depending on if it was mounted on the front or the back.
  19. $2800 will buy a very nice trailer!! If I had to haul my bike around enough to justify that kind of cash, I'd probably sell the bike because Im not riding it enough to justify having a bike!!
  20. I know when it's time to change my front brake fluid when the handle feels "notchy" and the braking isn't smooth. You're probably feeling the same thing with your clutch.
  21. What pieces are you looking for? If you wanted, you could polish any aluminum parts on the bike to a mirror finish.
  22. Yeah, that's a haul. You'll also be about 2.5 hours north of me. I bet one of our Texas members could loan you a trailer to haul the bike on.
  23. Good question, How far do you need to drag it?
  24. I gotta show off my nuts!!
  25. I hauled my 99 RSV in the back of my father's 96 F-250 and it bent the tailgate. I don't know how you could haul a RSV backwards because the steering lock holds the bars at an angle, not straight ahead. You could pull the final drive and remove the driveshaft though.
